If you're trying to be a teen pop star then yes age matters. I'm going to see Richie Hawtin in September and he is almost 50.
The time has come for you to take care and comb your hair.

On planet songwriting nobody is ever over 25 and happy in love.
I'm about to turn 40 and I've given up trying to be down with the kids. I think I'm a lot happier for it too.
If you put on a good show they will come, just don't waste your time trying to please everyone.

Youre not kidding. I saw him at the Royal Albert in 2008 when he was in his 70's. Guy was on fire. In a deep dark Leonard kind of way.

Exactly. If you're a woman artist and part of your image is based on sex appeal then the passing of time, more than likely, will not be kind to you. Her music is great but nobody wants to see a granny up there shakin' what their momma gave em'.

If your mind is young and body is healthy, no problem with age at all. But things aren't always by the plan.

I'll be 55 next month. Still think I'm 20 and still into the same stuff I was into back then. Music transcends age.
Age does not matter much ... experience plus physical and mental fitness do.
