Nice sounds here, It sounds a bit minimalistic, like a slower goa trance.
I actually immediately thought about the hypnotic "Man to Ray" by Juno Reactor from the year of 1993 when listening to the bass sound, but when checking it wasn't all that similar:-)

A goa version of this would be nice to hear, I could even contribute with a layer of sitars, tablas and stuff from the World Booster Pack in case that sounds like an inspiring collab challenge:-)
Just a short piece, clumsily mixed and sent to emastered.com for automatic mastering to make it quickly sound a little better.Aggie wrote:ok!

If that sounds promising, do you think I should continue with that throughout the whole tune as it is?
Any other/additional ideas?
What RE's do you use for it?
Btw, I hear some nice but quiet percussion in the background actually, perhaps you can turn that up a little bit?
EDIT: I'll call it a day now btw, and I guess there are no hurries at all.
Very clever... I like that!
The changes are too quick, though - I think you are applying them every 4 bars - maybe try with 8?
I only use the standard elements of Reason - no Refills or add-ons...
I'll email you and perhaps we can work with the .reason version?

To be honest, when I saw "7:09" my heart sank a bit, but the song moves along briskly and didn't feel like a drag at all. I think the snare and hi-hats are too loud, although it's probably deliberate, but I think they detract from the more interesting stuff that's going on underneath; they seem detached from the rest of the song.
Gave me a smile - you've listened to the updated version, where jappe asked for the percussion to be brought up... I think it's turning into a collaboration piece, now. I'll keep the thread updated... :0
Thanks Pete!
