It doesn't work in Reason, as MIDI Out isn't handled. And it doesn't have Euclidean rhythms, as far as I know (i.e. spread X hits over Y steps); it's more like Kompulsion's Arp, with fewer features.
oh yea, that's right. Forgot about vst Midi fx devices.
My opinion is that Propellerhead REASON needs a complete rewrite!
P.S: people should stop saying "No it won't happen" when referring to a complete rewrite of REASON. I have 3 letters for ya....VST

€69 for a Player, that's a bold pricing strategy.
I thought the same. Maybe we've been a bit spoiled by the initial three players being included, the current free Drum sequencer & by these being essentially MIDI utilities. But as Mattias pointed out it really comes down to how useful you are going to find these devices. And of course we can TRY these like we can with RE. I already have the RoboticBean Euclidean RE. But I'm tempted to snap up the Euclidiean Player at the intro price. It looks slick ;)

Uhh...i read this (audio-in), but my brain couldnt find a meaningful result... Guess i need to start thinking again...
wondering if it opens up the possibility of some creative player that might be able to do live audio to MIDI—that’s the first thing that comes to mind for me.
Interesting idea. That would be very cool to have. Wondering what other uses an audio in might have. Will be interesting to see what developers come up with.

Wait...Players can have CV? Slap you PH!

I like the MIDI<->CV converter! Especially due it supports Poly CV (you heard this, PH?). Hum...does that mean, i can now use Scales&Chords and this little handy thing to pull out my chords and spread them all over my rack? :o
"NOTE: Even though the polyphonic CV standard keeps track of multiple notes, it can still
only transmit a single note state change per audio batch. This means that if you play a
chord, MIDI-CV Converter will introduce a slight delay (~1.5ms at 44.1 kHz sample rate)
for each consecutive note in the chord. (The monophonic CV option has the same delay.)"

There is another device on the way. This is going to allow Propulsion, Korde, and PSQ to tap into the Player Stream. Very minimal.

I've been playing around with Loveone's Midi-CV Converter and it's really great. The PolyCV chaining is excellent. But I absolutely will use Lectric Panda's CVPT as well. My mind has been exploding with possibilities all day.
If you ain't hip to the rare Housequake, shut up already.

Damn.

Andrew at Blamsoft has kindly reminded me that PolyCV transmits two note events per audio batch, which means that the delay in PolyCV mode is ~0.75ms at 44.1 kHz sample rate. I'll update the manual.

Any idea when this will be out and the likely cost? Holding off on the Kompulsion demo until I see whether this combined with Korde and Propulsion will achieve enough for my needs...

This may look really simple, but it's actually a game changer for workflow if you want to use CV sequencers and write notes to track on a regular basis:

Image

You just add the CVPT above any instrument or Combinator, and connect your sequencer to the first input pair. Then you can simply send the sequence to track without wiring up additional combinators etc, and you can easily switch sound presets regardless if they are instrument or combinator patches.

Thank you, Panda.
Have been desperately waiting for this.

And thanks @buddard for providing a quick tip on how it works.

zvork, for the strummer, is there a way to play it in one-shot mode? ie i play a chord, strummer strums it up or down, and that's it? no loop, no pattern sequencer?

Just an idea. What if you set step length to 1?
