Well getting your hands on the SDK isn't difficult.
And there are developers now that create and use things for personal use that aren't released in the shop.

But something much more automated in the design process would be cool for the general public.

REs exist but aren't shared - how dare they!!! We need names and IP addresses.

I have long hoped for a sort of Synth Edit inside Reason. BUT that would be a major undertaking and probably slow the whole program down. I looked at MuLab a few times for this but quickly it didn't seem worth the effort. Maybe I am just too in the Reason groove to change.

Don't get me wrong the combinator is basically that device.
Don't get me wrong still coppin syntehdit one day since all daws support vsthosts.

But yeh tats a good idea and a big jump for the cv crowd and imo something like that would just make it even more of a cemented platform.

What level of coding experience do you have?

And Both IDT and RE SDKs are available to anyone for the asking - have never heard of anyone being refused access to them.

Don't you have to have a business though?

If you want to sell REs you have to have a business. You should talk to the Props though, they know a lot more about this than I do!

If they allow a non business to mess with it's sdk that should be enough right there lol.
I have no intent on selling, or even making a complete RE ever in life but it is an option many people would foam at the mouth for for this platform.

I had not yet registered as a business when I first received the SDK, so other should be able to do the same - foam away!

Again, I always tell folks to talk to the Props rather than asking on forums…

I didn't have a business when I applied, it took me like 3 years to get around to seriously doing a release. Just request the sdk if you want it haha, don't fabricate non issues

Sounds cool.

I've always been interested to see the SDK, but never asked as I assumed unless I was a business and signed the NDA I would be told no. just out of curiosity what if any does the example device code look like and how well is IDE integration for syntax handled. or is it all just a wrapper for your code.

Yes, for all the parts that are exclusive. Generic C++ code is available already (online).

so would that include combinator code etc that are Ph included devices or just a selection. I think I understand that RE's would not be included.

would i have to submit my code or can I develop and test my code without an off site solution.
