Rob Papen´s Vecto Instrument is in the Shop
Vecto is a four-oscillator vector synthesizer that allows users to draw in vector paths to shape the sound in many different ways. Included are a large range of oscillator waves, plus sampled waveforms and lots of different modulation options and preset vector paths to help create the unique Vecto sounds!
Due to the interesting range of waveforms, from classic analog modelled ones, Additive, Spectrum and high quality sampled waveforms, the sound options are dazzling deep! Two filters are added with 28 Filter types and 2 top notch effect processors finish the audio route with blister. A lot of interesting modulation options and creative features are added in Vecto, including an arpeggiator.
Another dedicated RE synthesizer built by the team of Rob Papen, to let Reason sound as never before.

It is gigantic. But seem to be usable even for a non synth hero... Prop need to make some clever solutions to enlarge devices in the rack to make REs more user friendly. External window option or something. Not all parameters always needs to be in the rack view.

Lots to really like (the display is FANTASTIC!) but a couple of oddities stand out, the latter of which be awkward, if not impossible, to fix.
- Only one decimal place on Speed/Hz makes setting rates below 1.0Hz difficult (lowest value is 0.0Hz, rather than 0.03 Hz).
- 1/32 is too slow a minimum value for a synth ideally set up for languid pads and tracks well under the 80bpm. Does no-one else do music under 140bpm these days?
It looks like this. i´m always working in doubletime tempo. it´s better for wobble soundsJiggeryPokery wrote: Does no-one else do music under 140bpm these days?

I've lost myself on preset bank 03 Ambient 'Space Aah 1-10'. I'm in instant Hanz Zimmer / Interstellar territory & it's fucking beautiful :bawl:

This is an absolute MUST-HAVE synth IMHO. Simply fantastic! No other synths can do what this does in Reason without a shitload of Combinator building and patience, and even then you're missing out.
Highly recommend this RE!

I've been blown away by some of the presets. Some really amazing & inspirational sounds. Just hit a single note on one called 'Wobble Phase' and a little bit pf pee cam out of me!! :frown: Somewhat blown away by the sonic capabilities of this one. Yes, everything is drenched in onboard FX. But who cares! It all ends up through FX anyway. Now to start from scratch & see what it's like to program. Doesn't look particularly complicated when you break it down. But there's obviously a lot going on here.

Impressive looking beast this and it sounds hot. Doesn't look overly daunting despite it's size.
Great work!

I want to thank Rob and his team for really dedicating themselves to Reason and the RE platform! That being said, I can really see a lot of refills being made for this device, which is exciting!

Was there some talk of a discount for owners of his other synths? Anyone know how that works? I'd like to check this out but can't afford to tempt myself at this price at the moment.

I was wondering the same thing. So far no discount coupon for me. Does the code come from Propellerhead or from Rob Papen? I always check the "no" box when buying REs that asks if I want updates, newsletters, etc.DinoJ wrote:Did you have to have signed up to receive Newsletters from them on previous purchases, to get a discount code?

The code comes from Rob Papen in an email.
