I'd find it useful to have saveable RRP instance presets to reload the whole RRP instance without relying on Combinators & also the feature of integrating VST3 plugins into the RRP instance when you want plugin effects or integrated plugin instruments from companies other than the Rack extension companies or Reason company.Popey wrote: ↑23 Apr 2024Yeah I think that is the benefit of different daws as different workflow suits each person individually. Good thing is we have the RRP so if you prefer something other than reason you can still use the reason goodies.xs23t7x wrote: ↑23 Apr 2024
Session view in Live for me is a limitation that I think Live can't surpass for me because in Reason everything is like a whole gear rack and you can scroll from track to track with 2 different techniques. In the arrangement or via track. Having a larger device window with the name of the track/preset name/image of the instrument or effect and the whole classic studio style design in Reason makes me regret planning to get deep into Live by mistake. Lives track windows and arrangement views are what the british call "Fiddly" to me although Live is elegent looking. I only use it some.

I read about it on one of the main Logic Pro forums. I'm not sure anyone can confirm it they were just making a guess I thought.
I'm starting to think it's going be a big update. They have been quiet for a while, since the roadmaps where completed and the major refactoring seem's to be done, the updates are getting smaller and sparse. Hope they will surprise us with something great and not a bad news like when they dropped line 6
The vocal tuning in the sequencer works great, hope they will add something like VocAlign (align multiple vocal takes)

I haven’t heard anything like this on the main ‘rumor’ sites, but there IS a rumor about Logic is being (fully?) ported to iPad in 2025. So if there are any GUI changes, maybe it would be to bring those two ‘worlds’ into better sync?

It feels like the props has something in the works cause it is scary quiet from theire side.

Thing is, I'd be interested to know exactly what percentage of users gravitate towards one or the other? I don't deny that maybe most people use Arrangement, but - what is that? Like 52%? 60% I'd wager there's still a ton of people that use Session view - the Clip Matrix was literally Live's USP for years. That's why we used it! And that's why I gravitate towards Akai's Force - their Clip Matrix is clearly Ableton Live's Session view.chimp_spanner wrote: ↑23 Apr 2024Not saying it's not a cool feature but almost everyone I know who uses Live...doesn't touch session view haha.

Well, you’re using it wrong. You can set the loop length to any length you want. This is no different than a sequence in Reason or an MPC.

hahah! that's very likely! I know you can set different loop lengths and even different time signatures per scene, etc. The "4 bar loop" was just an example
I think it's just the openness of it that doesn't work for me. It kind of feels like I'm not making any decisions and I'll just keep fooling around to no end.
I do like to play with it from time to time though, so I would happily welcome a session view in Reason, hehe

You can save RRP presets and load them as needed. Preset management is handled in the RRP shell within the DAW. Here's what it looks like in Logic. I've saved a multi-instrument preset and a multi-fx preset, and other presets too as you can see.
