Hi Res (hard to tell the difference)
I must have bad eyes, it appears that some people can immediately tell when they are looking at a high or low res graphic but it takes me awhile to see these improvements looking at pics. The graphics appears to be smoother but it is a very subtle thing. The bigger thing I guess is being able to zoom in properly.
To be fair, this new version it updates very fast. I'm just testing on some rackextensions, it's almost instant ( don't know if this is now pre-cached)

Hi res in this context literally means one can zoom in and not get pixel fest (staircase, aliased jagged graphic).
I am wondering what did you expect? Seriously? Perhaps you expected like drastically changed graphical layout or photo realistic interfaces but this is not it. It is what it says it is. Higher Resolution graphic.
Is this what you call subtle?
Are you using R12 or just looking at screenshots from other people?
I'm wondering if OP has updated their devices within the Companion app yet?
FWIW for me the difference is pretty huge, on my 2k and full HD monitors.

They'll definitely look better, even at 100%. But I should say that in my experience, you won't notice a huuuge difference unless you're on a high dpi/retina screen. I chucked R12 onto my iPad Pro 3rd Gen just to see how it looked on there and it's like, 2-3x sharper without zooming. I'm eye'ing up a UHD monitor so I can see it how it's supposed to look. But I don't know what to get.
I made a good guess
Yeah that could be it. Looking at other people's pictures and videos isn't going to give you the best results. With screenshots you have to account for their screen resolution and image quality and then with YouTube videos you get into different resolutions and compression, and that's even if it's available to view in 4K and higher. It's best to just try out R12 if you really want to see what it looks like on your screen IMO...especially when we're talking about viewing small details zoomed at only 100%.

Check out the ReGroove Mixer in 12 and then compare that against 11, monumental difference.
