How do i stop reason from picking up my laptop microphone? It started happening out of the blue and I can't find anywhere to change it. I don't want to turn it off altogether, just in reason.

If it's a Windows machine, look in the lower left by you clock, and right-click on the Speaker Icon for your sound settings.

Select "Recording Devices" and your microphone should be listed. Make some noise and you'll likely see the green meter jump.

Right-Click on that Microphone Device entry and Disable that bad boy. That should work.

Hi, Welcome to Reasontalk :) !

You can disable the channel alltogether by disabling it in the preferences:
Edit -> Preferences -> Audio -> Active input channels

Not sure that's available for built-in audio. In my case its greyed out.

Install ASIO4ALL (http://www.asio4all.com/). Switch to ASIO4ALL driver in reason preferences. Open ASIO4ALL control panel. Switch built in Microphone off.
