Hey!
I'm thinking of going out the box and wondering what Reason's fans are using in their studies. I mean compressors, equalizers, preamps and other creative devices that add flavor to your projects. Let me know what you recommend! and why.
What outboard gear do You love
I’m currently using an LA-610 and 6176 for mics and direct guitar/bass, as well as a Midas M32r for its 16 pre amps and EQ/filtering. I like the Ua stuff because I’ve used their LA-2a and 1176 extensively since I started engineering in the 1980s, and it always makes me smile...
Selig Audio, LLC
There are some pretty afforable LA2A and FET options out there by Warm Audio and Klark Teknik that I had considered. All seem to have great reviews. I just don't think I need them and if I want to add more to my setup.

I picked up an Elektron Analog Heat a couple of years back and I love it to bits. I've used it all over the place in sound design projects, and I use it to add a little saturation using the Clean Boost circuit when finishing up tunes. Amazing little box, and I've had zero issues using it as a plug-in via Overbridge.
edit: I picked up the mk2, though I think the mk1 is pretty similar in function.

I go straight into the Audient Id14 with decent mics. The only physical outboard hardware I use are some Radial DI's and the blue Reamp box, with random small amps.

Thanks for respond guys. Really great stuff here. UA is supersonic. About Warm Audio and Klark Technik I heard good opinions too, both have LA-2A opto comp and other classic clones like Bus Comp from WA. I think start my analog journey with Really Nice Compressor from FMR (best opinions and great value for money), maybe some classic dbx for drum stuff.
For guitarists I found DSM Humboldt Simplifier - OTB amp simulator which have great opinions and fantastic sound what I heard on yt, great stuff especially if You have already pedals.

Basically it's an effect pedal, but my Erica Synths Zen Delay adds a lot of grit and mojo to my digital synths like the OP-1.
