Thanks for the link! Maybe I'm sad but spent ages last night on those SDRs! Also fantastic is they have their own audio recorder built in. Sampled some really strange and useful noises and sounds

I'm a Radio Broadcaster and I have no idea what this zeebot dude is going on about here, that's even after watching the whole video.
I come across interesting sounds from time to time editing radio interviews and love field recording and finding odd sounds
But this video just wasn't easy to understand.
@ Zeebot so what are you doing with that sample after you found it?
Are you time stretching it? Are you finding one shot samples?
Are you making loops with Reason Recycle?
Are you using the sample in NNXT or NN19? I'm not sure and just curious to know buddy.

I don't think zeebot actually made the video. The video appears to be from some radio enthusiast using the Software-Defined Radio application, and he seems to be more concerned about actually witnessing specific kinds of broadcasts, the way shortwave radio enthusiasts might keep a record of all the different locations around the world they manage to receive.yeahright31 wrote: @ Zeebot so what are you doing with that sample after you found it?
No I didn't make this video platzangst is correct.yeahright31 wrote:I'm a Radio Broadcaster and I have no idea what this zeebot dude is going on about here, that's even after watching the whole video.

I record any interesting sounds and noises and edit them to my liking and then depending on what they are I use them in various devices in reason. My favourite sounds are from tuning just outside the range of an audio broadcast and play around with the filters to get really interesting metallic sounding tones.

@ Zeebot , Thanks buddy, ah this all sounds good and it's a load of fun sampling. Well it can be, sometimes you get nothing, that's the fun with sampling - it's when you hit the jackpot after finding nothing that interesting. ( I could relate to the excitement the guy in the video had when he found that golden sample.
I also agree filtering does make found sounds even more interesting tones.

Very cool! I feel very sci-fi, exploring those lanscapes of mysterious bleeps and grumbles.rcbuse wrote:If anyone wants to try this out but doesn't have SDR hardware, check out the tons of web based SDRs from around the world. http://websdr.org/
I like scanning using the LSB or USB filters, get some really weird and unique tones and noises.Exowildebeest wrote:Very cool!
