Re: KORG Collection 3 (with Prophecy, Triton Extreme, and miniKORG 700S) released
Which ones are those? Are they original? I posted this earlier: https://rhythm-lab.com/korg-prophecy-patches/ These are mostly the same. I was hoping for different. That said there are a couple banks not in the rhythm lab. For the 5 Euro though I don't feel bad for another couple banks. I've spent ...

Re: KORG Collection 3 (with Prophecy, Triton Extreme, and miniKORG 700S) released
While there are lots of interesting Prophecy patches, I want to know what users are doing with it. I've got the demo and will be giving it a go, but I wouldn't get it or upgrade to Collection 3 unless Prophecy puts out ;) I was a Korg 2 Bundle owner so upgrading was only $99 USD. So three VST of cl...

Re: KORG Collection 3 (with Prophecy, Triton Extreme, and miniKORG 700S) released
I was very glad to see the Prophecy added to the Korg Collection. I had a Triton when they first came out and added a MOSS daughter board to it. Sounded great but God awful to program on the 3-4in screen the Triton had. Was hoping when the first Triton plug-in came out that it would have it. Not so ...

Re: Sound Collective: GForce Minimonsta
I have two Focusrite interfaces registered. First was a Saffire Pro 24 DSP and the latest a Scarlet 8i6. I have the Novation BassStation from my Saffire I think. The GForce Minimoster is in my account. I assume because of that.

Re: Cherry Audio 8 Voice
I have two Cherry Audio Plugins. They sound good as I'm sure this one does. Not sure this is "brave new territory" though where even at $29 I'm getting a steal. There are several other "OB-Like" products out there of which I suspect many users already have. I have the DCO-106 and the one thing (as a...

Re: Best virtual guitar for leads
My current go to guitar(s) are the libraries offered by Acoustic Samples. They use the UVI engine to load. For electric guitar they offer Strategy and Telmatic. Both are all around libraries that not only offer solo performances but strummed chords with key switches and ability to create and use pat...

Wow! From the depths this thread rises.... https://www.acousticsamples.net/image/cache/data/screens/description/ukuscreen1-450x300.jpg I am a big fan of Acoustic Samples products which run on UVI. UKU is a scripted library that covers the instrument well. Can play single notes, strums, create your o...

Re: Roland releasing a new Juno 60 Plug-Out soon
I find it funny because JP8000 is a digital synth and there are no solid emulations out there. U-he maybe gets closest to the supersaw, but they aren't emulating the JP-8000 and its presets, and then the very few plugins that seek to emulate the synth, don't get the sound right... I feel like the d...

Re: Roland releasing a new Juno 60 Plug-Out soon
I really like the Roland plugins on their cloud service. The first few were CPU heavy but got a little better as they went on. I have been waiting on deciding if it will be worth keeping it going however as the past two products have been VST3 only and that is bothersome. I dabble with other DAWs bu...

Re: Korg Triton vst
I've owned two Korg Triton's and currently own Taktile. I've always been fond of the sounds from it. At the height of its popularity it was a great workstation when that technology wasn't commonplace. It wasn't the first of course as the M1 was one of the first in its class and first for Korg for su...

Re: Korg Gadget 2
I have the iPad version and always wanted it to come to PC. Not it is so this attempt is very welcome for me. I'm a fan of Korg for things big and small, hardware and software. They have about half of the devices available for PC at this time. Though that may seem disappointing since Mac users have ...

On a PC you navigate through the patches on the Reason device itself. Not the same on Mac?

Re: Roland Cloud
Roland has been emulated several times over on many of their synths or general sound and I attribute that to the body of work they have before them. But unless you are a vintage head you would not probably see the better value in these ones. If all you really did with these were surfing presets I do...

Re: Roland Cloud
Pretty much what Fotizimo said. At first I was weary about the cost per month going into it but now that the arsenal is a much bigger palette of quality VST and sound the $20usd price seems small. There are very few that struggle with Reason... although they are pretty good ones. The only three my c...

Re: d16's LuSH-101 on sale again.
How does it compare to Roland's SH-101? I don't own the Lush 101 to make a statement on how they compare sound wise but just wanted to say from what I see of Lush 101 it is nothing like a SH-101. I own an SH-101 and I think was makes that unit so special is the simplicity of what it is. Multi-timbr...

Re: Komplete worth it if I only really want Kontakt?
Honestly if you just want Kontakt is sensible for the fact that you get about 6 additional libraries as well. The brass section, strings and Studio drums are excellent. I use studio drummer on everything. It sounds great. Version 12 even has more.

Re: KV331's Synthmaster Player 86% off for October!
Yeah. I got this at Plugin Boutique last month. I think it was a dollar more. $4.95 maybe? But like you have pointed out for a $4 plugin with a shitload of sounds and moderate tweakability... where can you go wrong? On the note of quality I was generally impressed with the offering from the device a...

Re: Another VST question
Some VST may require additional files to run outside of the DLL file. As an example many VST created from SynthEdit use supporting files from the SDK (usually with an extension SEM) per instance. The folder is often named the same as the DLL giving the appearance of being a install folder but really...

Re: Wish OchenK would come back!
I think they are going to sunset REs pretty soon and concentrate on VSTs with some kind of built-in DRM. Most VST Devs have abandoned the RE platform now anyway. I've pretty much stopped buying REs now and will not buy any more until it is clear they are a long-term investment. I would firstly reco...

Re: Wish OchenK would come back!
Speculative thought.... might Re sales as a whole not lived up to the development costs to create the platform? Yes... there are several in the shop but never quite grabbed the attention of larger developers where the number of sales based off company reputation would bring in a higher volume of sal...

That's what I did. Bought Lurssen for about $130 thanks to some jam points and now I have my pick of anything, although I think I'm going to wait before I claim all the extras to see if they release anything new. I'm in no rush, and who knows if the new stuff would qualify, but I can wait and find ...

BTW their group buy has achieved 10 for 1. Sadly... I've had T-Racks 5 and only a few models left. I saw the deal on the first go around and coming off the heels of buy Native Komplete I was frugal in buying choices. It was a potential of buy one get 5 free. I bought in early not expecting it would...

Re: SONIVOX TWIST
Twist is OK IMO. Nothing special though. It is a FM sounding synth that has about 220 or so presets. I find them about 50% hit or miss. Half I could use the other half fun to listen to but never use. It is unlikely anyone would want to take the time to be proficient at programming this thing so as a...

Re: UVI Vintage Vault. Anyone using?
I have a few UVI products but not the full vault. In fact most of the things were the things you really don't see anywhere else like the Acoustic and Electronic Toys library (awesome if you find it on sale). But the few I do have are just sample sets and really not full synths. It is a lot like IK's...

Roland Cloud TR-808
808a.png 808b.png Roland finally releases the TR-808 as a plugin on their Cloud Service. Too late? There are plenty that have come before and maybe... dare I say... even better? I've checked it out and its legit. I like that it is simple and pretty faithful without drowning it in effects and non 80...
