Re: Roland LEGENDARY SERIES

Yeah...... but for $20 a month you get access you about 12 or so cool plugs like the below...... with more added every month..... and after 12 months you get to keep one as part of the loyalty program. I don't see Roland jumping into the Re market but you never know. If VST is your thing though and ...

Re: Will Ryzen make AMD great again?

http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Intel-Core-i7-7700K-vs-AMD-Ryzen-7-1700/3647vs3917 There is a couple things to consider about this comparison that I think should be pointed out is that it first compares the highest Kaby Lake (Flagship as it is referred to) to the lowest end R7 processor (1700)...

Re: Will Ryzen make AMD great again?

I guess it's like hedging bets. I'm in the need for a new PC. I can wait for the platform to improve or I can go with an I7 Kaby lake. It's in the similar price point. If Ryzen gets optimized the comparison will make the Ryzen the clear choice. I'm sure with AMD's previous track they improved on all...

Re: Will Ryzen make AMD great again?

The thread reporting issues at low buffer sample rates on Ryzen really worries me. I think I'll sit this out until this platform matures. (thanks Ostermilk: http://forum.cakewalk.com/AMD39s-Ryzen-launches-March-2-outperforming-Intel39s-Core-i7-at-a-fraction-of-the-price-m3564710.aspx ) I've seen th...

Re: Will Ryzen make AMD great again?

I have owned an AMD for the past few builds and have been happy. So I've been in the market to build a new PC and put my order in for the parts to build a Ryzen PC. I have a 1700x CPU with an ASUS Prime x370 motherboard ordered. 16GB of DDR4 2666 memory. Going to run os on a 1TB Mushkin SSD. Problem...

Re: SONiVOX Orchestral Companion - Strings - $1

My biggest issue with iLok is with Windows 10. For some reason when the PC is restarted the Pace License Manager does not want to automatically start. When it does it says a background service is not running or missing so you have to manually start it. Kind of a PITA actually. But registering it has...

SONiVOX Orchestral Companion - Strings - $1

I know many are strapped after the holiday but here's one that seems to be a pretty good take and can't add much more hurt to your finances. I was visiting Plugin Boutique and saw the SONiVOX Orchestral Strings VST for $1. Actually I got it for free using Virtual Cash I had from a previous purchase....

Re: Reveal Sound Spire RE confirmed in the works!!!!

I have no doubt that within a week or two after delivery a Nektar map will be created for Spire. Maybe even sooner if someone in the test group knows how to program one. I would not worry about "if" it will support the real question is when. If it is a remotable item on the device then there is the ...

Re: KORG Gadget coming to Mac

Korg Gadget is a neat software program and a very nice collection of Gadgets. I own just about everything now with exception to the latest Korg iWaveStation. I've been a big fan of Korg products for years as they make great stuff. Gadget is great on devices (28 or so now) but has a long way way to g...

Re: Remote mapping question

Writing a specific codec for a controller is a daunting task that is not generally recommended to any beginner. The documentation is for whatever reason under a NDA that anyone who signs up for to get cannot just distribute so I'm not sure anyone will just share the document but if you get it good l...

Re: New Reason User ! Hello! Korg M1 Question

Yes. VSTHost is by Hermann Sieb. He also makes a nice little program called SAVIHost which allows you to save the file in the same directory as the VST Dynamic Link Library that when you rename it is acts as a stand alone executable. His products are at below address : http://hermannseib.com/midi.ht...

Re: New Reason User ! Hello! Korg M1 Question

Vecto is nice but I think more along the line of Hydronexius Workstation ROM when making comparison to the M1. You may give a close look to that one and listen to some of the samples. Quite honestly however the M1 was one of the first workstation synths. A good ole Combinator and some NN-XT is all y...

Re: Nektar Panorama Remote Maps Thread

I think a dropbox or another drop location that can be managed by several people would be better holding both separate and a global mapping.. Perhaps this is not the best solution but for the time being I set up a download spot on my site at Combinator HQ where each map can be uploaded individual i...

Here are the remote maps for the Kaussa Efektor Series Many thanks: I am not an expert but by opening a track dedicated to Distortion (DS 3603), the Distortion mode does not appear in the Nektar display. This works fine with the Fuzz or Overdrive. In the code text, the mention dispaly is written: s...

Re: Executioner DJ Mixer - Mapping to Panorama P4

I'm not sure if the Executioner Remote Map is part of the standard map now but you can find here attached a copy of just the Executioner DJ code and nothing else. If you don't already have another map for it in your remotemap file then you should be able to copy the contents of this to your existing...

Mr. Lizard, what happened to the mapping file in the first post of this thread? I'm looking for a mapping for Stringwerk which you earlier put in the file on the first post but now it's not there? I've used a programmers...

Wow! Necro-post! But... I'll play along as I am a big fan of Korg's Controllers. If you are looking for pads and bluetooth then look into the nanoKey Studio! I bought it shortly after it came out and love it. I also have the Taktile Triton. But back on topic...... the nanoKey Studio is a 25 key with...
