Re: Brand new laptop... Computer too slow. HALP!

this is pointless unless you're trying to conserve battery. Not at all, there is no need to run a system flat out all time, you are only shortening the life time of the device. hardly. Especially when running within the rated clock speed. It's the difference between twenty years and nineteen and a ...

Re: 3rd party Players in shop

zvork, for the strummer, is there a way to play it in one-shot mode? ie i play a chord, strummer strums it up or down, and that's it? no loop, no pattern sequencer?

Re: Brand new laptop... Computer too slow. HALP!

Finally, be sure you have your laptop's performance set to "High Performance" under the Power Options. By default, it will underclock and throttle your CPU to save battery. FYI I always run mine on Balanced with a lot of things turned off and few things turned on, never have issues. (Yes I do have ...

If I know what chord I just played I can find that key easily and build a track around it. Full disclosure: I'm a drummer with very poor music theory knowledge

Re: Why in the hell can't we see steps beyond 16 in Drum sequencer??

Threads were consolidated. You can make all the excuses you want, 16 steps is unacceptable from a modern drum sequencer. Whoever's going to pay $70 for this must be smoking more crack then the designers who made it. Glad I got it free. There's definitely some interesting features. Ratchet is cool, p...

Re: Players we want built thread

a chord humanizer for scales and chords. something small, simple, and cheap that just splits the notes and velocities up a little bit so perfectly executed chords don't sound so robotic.

this is incredible. i had no idea i wanted this so much. i'm always playing interesting sounding random chords that i have no idea what to do with because i'm a huge thelonious monk fan but have no piano training to speak of. this will help me compose around my noodling!

i have it. it's totally worth twenty bucks. but i dunno about it's greater usefulness. it's the kind of thing you play around with for a few months and then forget about. not really on the same level as thor or something of that sort. it tries too hard to do too much, and ends up kind of being medio...

I actually agree with Grifty here. I absolutely hate the internet sign in with Reason when trialing a RE, that's why I only try REs that I know I'm very interested in... I love to know what I can expect even with an FX to figure out if I want to test it... D. Here you are guys, It just was not adde...

Re: Apple REFUSED to Fix our iMac Pro

Come to think of it I don't know macs at all. Question I got are: Do macs run on AMD? Can you build macs? Can you use a different mobo or repair it yourself if you use a mac? All these I do not know, when it comes to macs. short answer is no. apple computers require apple parts, which can only be b...

linus is not anti-apple (full disclosure: I am). linus has always kept a level-headed balance to his preferences of one platform over the other. his channel was founded on building windows pcs so i guess you can read into that all you want, but you can't exactly legally build your own macs. he used ...

Re: Apple REFUSED to Fix our iMac Pro

Most of us are travelers who need to get from point A to point B, and don’t have the time or skill set to build our own custom vehicle, no matter how well it outperforms what we can get at our local car dealer. this is a terrible analogy. as a car guy AND a computer guy, i assure you a custom car i...
