Re: "Unbind" Tempo Grid?

I found this: https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?t=7497794 Which contains this post: You can also stretch visually by Ctrl-clicking the right arrow at the end of the clip and moving it around (the cursor...

Re: Kong Drum Designer: What for a drum synthesis?
kicks are pretty simple to synthesize actually. i recommend going to the "reason 10 sounds" refill and browsing the drum instruments folders. there's a bunch of synth drum patches for all kinds of drums there

"Unbind" Tempo Grid?
Is it possible to "re-tempo" a track without messing up the timing of the audio or midi clips? Often times I will record a record into my default track without setting the tempo, chop it by hand and set the loop markers, and make a beat right then and there. This will end up with my track tempo sayi...

Request: Best way to synthesize train horn?
what are some good ideas for synthesizing a really disonant, alarming kind of train horn? as can be heard on this track: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2BpPQv2yFnM i'd love to hear some ideas, right now i'm considering playing around with some additive stuff but if there are any presets or samples ...

Re: Why does Papen's marketing align SBB with hip hop?
Is SBB even worth it for a hip hop/low end producer?? I already get plenty of bass out of Thor and expanse. I was kind of unimpressed by my trial period with SBB. Anyone really love it here?

I'm about to finish a CS degree. What do i need to sign up for to start making RE's and testing them in reason? Do they provide example code? Where can i study DSP programming specifically?

i'll tell you why a dongle is useful.
laptop: authorized computer
desktop at home: dongle stuck in the rear usb port.
2 computers using reason without online login, that's why it's useful

Re: External SSD for running Reason?
Sounds good, let me work with you lol. By no means am I trying to discourage anyone. I'm a system builder and work in IT. What kind of tracks do you work with most? Audio/samplers or software synths? Do you use lots of effects? SSD is not going to drastically help with either tbh but it may help wit...

Re: External SSD for running Reason?
I actually do. I routinely use three different systems, one of them runs on one the fastest SSDs you can buy and the other runs on a pitiful old mechanical drive. Apart from start up speed, you'll hardly notice a difference. You would notice much more performance upgrade from a new processor, imo it...

Re: External SSD for running Reason?
i'm not discounting him! his system is more than enough for simple projects of say, a few samples and some thors. but i'll wager that europa and the like will cripple that poor old i3. in my opinion the funds would be more smartly saved and invested as soon as possible in a new CPU, with whatever im...

Re: External SSD for running Reason?
20-40 is an acceptable range. my opinion is to scrap the ssd plans and upgrade that CPU, that thing is certainly your main bottleneck in this system It's a laptop :-) it's an old, slow laptop with too few cores to comfortably handle complex reason 10 projects. no amount of boot speed is ever going ...

Re: how to do some of these techniques from super mario world
hey good tip! i took a look at the midi and made this in about five minutes. put a chords/scales right above it in line and play around (C harmonic minor is sounding spooky), it's close but i don't think it's perfect. pretty fun to play around with though.

how to do some of these techniques from super mario world
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYi6xPnFovM specifically, what kind of chord is the intro/opening note? and in the second part, when it's kind of like a bach/beethoven sort of crescendo in the background, how can one do something like that with very little keyboard talent??? i get the feeling it can...
