Re: Does the free Wbl3001 Dispositif Pour Contact Premier RE only work in a combinator?
just sent note data into it, either via a keyboard controller or a note clip.. wbl3001.gif What do you mean? The only way it worked for me was inside a combinator. My aim was to give a demonstration of it working whilst not being in a combinator and explain how i did that :) Else i'm not sure what ...

Re: Radical Piano vs Reason Piano"s...Which is better?
RadPi may not sound as authentic as some sample based piano's, but as a piano player i enjoy RadPi far more then Reason Piano's because it reacts much more natural to dynamic playing and is therefor for me the more musical of the two.

That is quite extraordinary... I don't have an idea how this is possible if there's no control surface connected. If i think of something i'll get back here.Bejan wrote:Yes I've disabled the midi keyboard, removed it completely and unplugged it yet still get the same result

Re: Monitor Placement
Thanks guys, yeah I'm familiar with the triangle rule, but for people with more than one set of monitors it would imply that you need to change your seat's position every time you switch back and forth. [ Assuming you're in a home-studio situation and probably don't have endless room... ] That is t...

Re: Recording booth advice
Some ideas, and a bit of experience: A controlroom, a recording studio and a booth all have different acoustic requirements. - Walls with uneven lengths are used in recording studio's because they help with diffusion and help diminish the effect of early reflections. It helps to have the room be ali...

Re: Movement on the second Note
You can make a Thor send a gate out on every 2nd keypress it receives because you can use its internal sequencer as a step counter. Counting Thor.zip Include this thor in your combinator, make sure it receives notes. Now from the step sequencer out you will get a gate on every 2nd note it receives. ...

Re: Dr. Octorex question
No, not in Dr Octorex. There is in NurseRex (Kong). There is an easy way to get this effect through automating the pattern select buttons. You can then draw in clips that start a certain loop. If you look at the clips, you can see they contain markers to indicate the length of the contained audio. B...

2. "time shaping" . Dunno. Might be like time stretching(?) Let me try... Time shaping, i'd say that require something with huge gravitational forces, like a black hole doesn't it ? Which is much like a DAW... a thing you can funnel all your time into, keeps pulling you in... not getting anything b...

Keep your money. Many a shitty attitude has been covered by polite words. After giving me a dismissive line about how I was "caviling" - that my arguments were trivial or frivolous - and having you state you weren't responding to me anymore, I then come to find out that in another thread you claime...

Re: A bit of analog modular
With the explosion of EuroRack I’m surprised we have not seen more interfaces that feature dedicated CV/Gate i/o. There doesn’t seem to be a lot out there besides the Expert Sleepers stuff. Are there any other options available that you guys know about? I know of two other companies that make USB/M...

I'm still a bit fuzzy on the whole DC coupled ou...

Re: Reason 10 Rumors
Are you aware of the fact that you can dial more precisely by holding shift? I'd bet he is, but, from my experience, this doesn't help in many cases. In the preferences, tab: General, there's a pulldown called "Mouse knob range" that you can set to Very Precise. Sure this sometimes can't match an e...

Re: Why does the pattern inserts like this?
Even with a pattern length of 12 steps in redrum, an entire bar is created in the sequencer. Its just how it works.
If you want 3 bars, temporarily set your time signature to 3/4, or don't and shorten the clip after notes to track.

You're wrong abut KeyStep, I gotta say. It's been a success for me. https://www.arturia.com/images/products/keystep/keystep-front-details.png You're right, I haven't tried that one. That would be great if Arturia stepped up their Quality Control. It was a mess for a while. I haven't tried their con...

Re: Switching instrument without using mouse or computer keyboard
Provided you have a button left on your controller that you can assign to it, you can switch to the next and previous track. Your master keyboard will follow this selection. Then all you have to do is setup the different sounds you need on subsequent channels. Click Options and open "Additional Remo...

Re: Ignore midi conflicts in reason 9.2
Mapping 1 dial on your controller, to 2 parameters at once, is not possible. But there might be other ways to still achieve the effect that you want. What is it ? :) It cannot be done in Reason using Remote Overrides or in the remotemap file (except for groups, but that´s special) but it can be ach...

Re: Ignore midi conflicts in reason 9.2
If you know how to setup a control surface with reason, you may have noticed it listens to all channels at once. There is a codec (made by koshdukai) which listens to 1 channel at a time. I do not know wether it also supports midi control messages per channel, that you have to try. Koshdukai's midi ...
