Re: DSP usage RE vs VST in Reason
Can someone who has the beta and Legend in RE and VST format please do a test with say 8 Legend RE synths playing different chords and keep adding until you max our your CPU and then try it with the VST version. I would love to know the results. It is way too early to tell. There is overhead in the...

Re: Reason 9.5 – VST in Reason
Wow. I didn't expect this kind of development so soon. Reason has always been one of the most satisfying, creative music environments for me over the past 15 years, but some semblance of Kontakt support was my longest wish. Amazing. Will R9.5's VST implementation support multiple-output plugins? Mu...

Re: Reason as a MIDI/CV Source Only
I've not yet worked with Reaktor but i'm planning to. In Reaktor, are audio and CV interchangeable ? In case you can take in an audio signal, and sent it into a CV input in Reaktor, you could instead of using midi, as a bridge to sent over CV signals, sent cv over as audio signals instead (like in a...

Re: Reason as a MIDI/CV Source Only
First of all, Welcome ! To be honest, i haven't seen the threads myself. You talk about midi and CV in relation to other software. I'm not familiar with how other software uses CV. What i know about reason CV is that you can translate it into an audio signal and send that into a real world modular (...

Re: Kawai K4 not talking to Reason
Hi folks Been trying to use my Kawai K4 wth Reason (v9.2.2d1) after creating the External Midi Instrument set to Midi Ch1, trying different control surfaces, currently using Akai MPK261. On the K4 I set System/Transmit, Midi Ch1 I get no midi activity at all in Reason, no sound, nothing. Thinking i...

Re: Kawai K4 not talking to Reason
I do get the midi activity light after all. I think the problem is with my Laptop Dell XPS L521X which only comes with two headphones output. I need to figure out (I've heard) how to let one of those outputs play my keyboard input to get the audio going. I already created the Audio Track in Reason ...

So this Re is for delay compensation, how do you measure how much delay a device induces?
Theres a test signal out and measure signal in on the back. Connect it to something and press the measure button on the front. It will report the amount of samples of delay.

Re: Quick Noob question!
For keyboards i use Line. Especially since line on my interface is balanced, and my synths have balanced outputs (using TRS cable). The instrument inputs i have are not balanced. About what to use, instrument level is usually that what you get from a guitar or mic. It is something that usually needs...

Its not just that, there's a lot of manipulations you can do easily and quickly using the inspec...
