Re: Reason 8.1 & above CPU Stress Test (songfile included)!

I'm pretty chuffed with my Reason performance running the benchmark. 4k resolution on a 40" monitor hence the large screenshot. Song completed on 2 DSP bars, sometimes momentarily flicking up to 3 bars towards the end. Oddly, CPU usage never went above 30% Main specs: 5960X @ 4.7Ghz water cooled 32G...

Re: Calling 9.5 Beta Testers

im getting the computer too slow to play song pop up occassionaly which means im either trying to throw too much into the rack ? my computers getting old or that its just beta related ? ive never been the type to bounce tracks before, but i might have to adopt it in 9.5 it seems ? the experience of...

Re: VST in reason, effects on the rack extension market?

I don't think much will change. I'm finding it difficult to get my head around all the fuss. I've been using VST's in Reason for years now. Delay compensation got my ears pricked up though - That's about it. I'll gain a small amount of time with VST integration - No biggie really. The only thing thi...

Re: I'm pretty all the vst-non supporters are secretly supporting the upcoming Reason 9.5 update lol

Admit it...everyone is happy. Why wouldn't you be. This is the best thing to ever happen for Reason. Finally, Omnisphere, Trillian, Diva, M-Tron Pro, VSM, Exhale, Waves, Slate Digital, Nexus, and so much more. Well I've used my Virus Ti2 Desktop and Serum in Reason for so long now, that this 9.5 VS...

Re: VST in reason, effects on the rack extension market?

Probably not going to buy alot of VSTs but what just became VERY interesting is a Virus TI and the Elektron Overbridge stuff. Exactly my thoughts. I own a Virus Ti2 Desktop. It's the only synth I can't let go of, and the only synth I own having sold off everything else for space. Saying that, it wa...

Re: Is Expanse supposed to be like Serum? I downloaded the trial & hate it so far. What am i missing?

I own Serum and eXpanse - I love both, but have to admit to not using Serum much anymore. Serum is limited when compared to eXpanse in the Reason rack. If you're 'hating' eXpanse then it's my guess (with me spending a lot of time with it since release and knowing it inside out) you've just not even ...

If you think they're pushing your computer - Try some of the pads in the Combinator section. But seriously though, this kind of power/sound doesn't come cheap on CPU.

Re: Blamsoft and eXode present VK-2 Viking Synthesizer

Finally a synth that makes my 8 core i7 @ 4.4Ghz sweat - well, the combinator patches do. So I bought it! Awesome synth with awesome patches too! It seems eXode had a decent stab at the Polymoog Vox Humana patch too (Pads / Human Vox -EX) Just needs a vintage script Phase 90 and You're driving... Go...

Re: SERUM synthesizer

I used to use Serum in Reason a lot with midi loopback and it's own dedicated audio interface with the audio fed into my main audio interface - Works perfect! But I find now I don't bother with Serum and mainly use eXpanse. I'm liking eXpanse with it's V2 features a lot more than Serum now. Reason d...

Re: U He regarding more Rack Extensions.

The legend is nice but Diva and Repro 1 destroy it! To my ear Diva is certainly not as accurate as The Legend at a Minimoog D. RePro1 is an emulation of a Sequential Pro1 so can't even be compared to The Legend. To my ear and experience of hearing them for hours/days on end, nothing beats The Legen...

It's wouldn't be a major loss even if they didn't make REs anymore. We already have devs like Synapse Audio, Blamsoft, Levtric Panda and Audiotealism who are very supportive of the Reason community. Who make better plugins as well. better plugins than then u-he ? have you ever worked with their syn...

Re: Proton Granular Synth!

Not to be a negative Nancy, but I'm not finding this to be the most musical synth. So many of the grain sounds have a similar quality. A few gems in the provided patches, but am I missing something? Malstrom seems musical to me but as I explore Proton and import my own samples, it's just not making...

I done a YouTube video for this last year. If you can wade through my bullshite you should hopefully find some use from it. IIRC this was the simplest device I've ever set up in Reason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LntYX_XY_XQ I actually found your video before posting mine with my question. I f...

I find I'm using it a lot more now, even if I'm not working on EDM I'll still use it in a subtle and hardly noticeable way - just enough to give some movement to an element.

No excuse for Duda not to come onboard now.
