customers can ask the Props for a refund. it's their shop and they need to take legal actions.

Re: Do You Use Channel Strip Plugins?
AFAIK Reason's mixer is a FUNCTIONAL recreation of the SSL, so it has similar layout, routing, knobs and buttons have the same (or similar) range, filter & transfer curves have the same shape, etc. But it doesn't model the electric circuitry and per-channel variance, non-linearities, noise, saturat...

Re: Zampled gone down
I thought the Propellerhead has never said there was a copyright claim concerning Softphonics. OK, guys, can we please put this one to bed? Yes, you're right in the sense that indeed they didn't say that, precisely, but if you acutely read the official red-topped post you're likely refering and par...

Re: Do You Use Channel Strip Plugins?
Reason's SSL mixer emulates the SSL EQ curves and compression behavior, which is fine. But it doesn't try to impart any of the character or analog sound of an actual SSL console. So in that regard, it's not a full and complete emulation of anything SSL. That's not to say, it's a bad mixer - quite t...

Re: Zampled gone down
The Softphonics thing feels strange and it's deleted from https://www.propellerheads.com/shop/brands/ But I never heard anything about this from the Props which is also not okay. If there was a copyright conflict issue the Props should clarify or else we end up speculating about it. I'v done patches...

Re: Do You Use Channel Strip Plugins?
Nothing wrong with Reason's mixer, but I use a third party SSL channel strip and console emulation because I want an 'as close as possible to a real SSL' experience. I want the analog circuit emulation - the saturation, the noise and distortion, the clipping. Reason's "SSL" does not model that. Jim...

Re: Zampled gone down
I thought the Propellerhead has never said there was a copyright claim concerning Softphonics. I guess the same is true for Zampled Euphonic Strings. If there would be a claim it would be taken offline. I am not defending these companies but I know that speculation on this can result in major error...

Re: Zampled gone down
Dunno its all theory and I'm not as clever as esselfortium but she seems to pose a clever argument , All the evidence presented above points towards Zampled Euphonic Strings being another Softphonics style debacle. A product sold as legitimate effort. With the website making out that the developers...

Re: Do You Use Channel Strip Plugins?
also keep in mind that Reason has a lovely channel strip build into the SSL. with it's unique eq (rms!). What is an RMS EQ? I totally agree there is already a great channel strip built into Reason. One motivation to use channel strips in other DAWs in the past was the limited/fixed number of insert...

(Pop) Kritiek
https://soundcloud.com/raaphorst/kritiek This is the first single of my debut album. In the past I've made cd's with others but it was always a dream of me to make an album with my own songs. I did write pop songs in the past but never a full album. When I turned 50 I decided to just do that. I am ...

Re: Thoughts concerning "social networks" and (music/artist) promotion
I gave up using any services by Facebook. So no Instagram or Whatsapp for me. Twitter I like. And you can use a personal blog as well. Or a podcast. And a newsletter. There are many options. Next week I am releasing a single. Hopefully I will be able to promote it well. It will be a learning experie...
