Re: "Precision Stereo Compressor" New RE from Red Rock Sound
Nope, normally not: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70-g_WcN5As -stereo in -mid/side split into two signals -In IK's TRackS you can affect M/S simultaneously, but normally you switch to Mid only - and set your singel knob setup as you like it, then when you switch to Side only the knobs on the unit...

Re: "Precision Stereo Compressor" New RE from Red Rock Sound
I`m sorry you lost me . I thought mid/side processing was created for mastering mainly , so that you can process the mid and side information independent from one another with EQ and Compression . That`s why that m/s mode throws me off .I could be wrong ,so please forgive me if i am . I believe Red...

Re: "Precision Stereo Compressor" New RE from Red Rock Sound
Great addition to the rack . Quick question . How do you control Mid and side with only one set of controls ? You would need two . one to control mid and one to control side . In M/S mode input stereo signal is encoded into Mid/Side format, then both signal components are processed by two compresso...

Re: "Precision Stereo Compressor" New RE from Red Rock Sound
That makes sense . but why put an M/S mode on the device ? Isn't that a little confusing ? Many other Reason REs do this from Synapse GQ7 to my own ColoringEQ, not to mention Red Rock C1-L1, Red Queen 10 Band 3 Mode Equalizer, Pandemic Multiband Autopan, and I'm sure I'm forgetting some more. Often...

Re: Waves Free Plugin Chainer Studio Rack v11
That's how product development works. You look at competing stuff and copy or develop the best ideas from them. The good ideas grow and spread and improve. RS have always been a bit isolated in that respect. In one way it's great to "do it your own way" but the mainstream way is usually the mainstr...

Re: Waves Free Plugin Chainer Studio Rack v11
I`ve noticed for a long time now and someone correct me if i`m wrong . Reason is the only DAW where you can create a multiband compressor with a different compressor on each band . Using the Yoko Rack Extension . I hope no other Daw steals this idea , now that i`ve mentioned it . Already stolen! St...

Re: A Case For Mixing Entirely With Reason's SSL
Thats great . is it possible you can post link to the track your talking about ? It was for Miranda Lambert's iHeart Radio album release concert for "Wildcard" (recorded Oct 31, 2019), but the links I had are broken now and I can't find working links on their site. Tried searching but can't see it ...

Re: A Case For Mixing Entirely With Reason's SSL
Does anyone have experience mixing material solely with the SSL, and if so what are your thoughts? I do it all the time. I even recently mixed a live iHeart Radio concert for a major artist on Sony Nashville, totally in Reason. I didn't tell anyone either, I just made sure I got individual tracks w...

Re: How would you rate Reason in its current state?
Here's what a comprehensive EDM track looks like in Reason  https://www.facebook.com/ElectricMantis/videos/1665592783462851/ seriously ? there are at least 50 instance of redrums in there and maybe 20 Dr.Rex it is surely not needed to make a song like that The play head is not moving . So i fo...

Try loading the sample into the NNXT . Highlight and right click on the sample in the NNXT display screen and select " Set root notes from pitch detection " and if you look at the keyboard on the NNXT device the key will be highlighted . You now know the key of your drum sample . I'm tried it now w...

Re: Where can I find good video tuts of Reason's back panel ?
Could a video on that be any better than an in-depth manual on the particular devices you need to connect? The back panel overall thing is just how you drag a wire from one socket to another. The rest depends on the devices. I don't know why you prefer videos, but I would suggest reading the Reason...

I’m sorry to hear that you have this problem . One quick question . When you hear commercial tracks how does the balance sound to you . Maybe matching that balance will give you the results your looking for .

Re: What recent discovery or technique took your production to the next level?
I now know you have to EQ each instrument to fit into the mix , not EQing the instrument to sound great by itself . When you solo some tracks they may not sound pleasing to your ears but in the mix they fit just right . yes, always in context, even if it's just the rhythm guitar while y...
