Re: ABBA reunited
But even if you're not a fan, you have to give respect to what they accomplished back in the 70's/early 80's. There really was nothing like them at the time, they were accomplished song writers, and made great music that moved millions of people (and dollars/krona). Ohh! Total respect and I mean th...

Re: Maschine Jam
I have both a Jam and Studio. There are many different ways of using both with Reason but I rarely use either to directly control Reason, preferring to use the Maschine software to manage that side of things. I usually match my maschine sequence to the length of my song and use it much the same way ...

The Last Walk (Incidental/Soundtrack Style)
Fairly challenging this, not so much the dirge but the subject matter. It makes me feel uncomfortable and I wrote it, but something needs to be said about the human condition and of final moments in a world of beauty. Over reaction? Most likely. OPJMYnb0 Lament? Or just plain, lamentable? EDIT: Shou...

Re: Nektar announces "PACER" Hands-free DAW and MIDI Control
We our selves also keep the mappings up to date, last count was about 700 full maps and over 2200 grab maps. Yes, and you are to be thanked for that. The immense work you have done has for me, extended the life of the keyboard and I suspect, had it not been for that, my keyboard of choice would be ...

Re: Nektar announces "PACER" Hands-free DAW and MIDI Control
I will try to forgive you. Heh, well, to be fair - it looks like I wasn't the only one who missed it. :puf_bigsmile: I wonder if PSoames will chime in... It's the message that matters, not the messenger. ;) I think you and I Dylan, are on the same page in respect to Nektar. I'm not particularly imp...

3 monitor person myself, but I like your thinking!
I really should make more use of the pedals I have for controlling software as well as instruments.

Re: (Electro-rock?) - “Rise” looking for mixing advice, etc.
Really nice composition, very pro-looking video.
Like your track "Fall", I feel the mix matches the song. Here's a question for you, did you leave your instruments dusty on purpose? Would cleaning them have made the video better?

Re: (Electro-rock?) "Fall"
I enjoyed this immensely . You said the same about your track "Rise", - which I also liked and thought I'd responded to, but apparently not, (apologies) - in respect to mix and loudness, but I think both suit the mix you have. If anything, I might agree with Auryn about drums, but I would look at la...

Re: (Dark Electronic) Laser Eyes
It's a very dark and eerie composition, I like it, but to be honest, the drums aren't really doing it for me. Some well placed electronic beats would make this track a killer, in my opinion.

Re: (Dark techno+dog toy) MuleSlaves (PLansford)
You and Peter are on a different level.
Mule Slaves has a seriously nasty beat that appeals to the animal whilst Meet Shaye is lovely, lovely, human emotional chaos. I played both together, at the same time. Some how it worked.
I'm not entirely sure that wasn't the plan from the start!

Re: (Rock) Back When [in progress]
70s rock is gold.
I like the "attitude" this track has got, like others am keen to see how it progresses. Would love to hear something with some more bass presence/depth, that bassline is seriously good and it deserves to be heard.

Very atmospheric. I can feel the dread. It is fun doing this sort of thing. Not only do we get to play with sounds we might not use in our music, but we get to experiment with effects that make the environment real and immersive, using story telling devices such changing reverb settings to simulate ...

Airport '69 (Library/TV Band style)
Ok, a bit weird this, but I have always loved library music, specifically from the 60s & 70s - you know, the sort of stuff that got used in TV shows, commercials and trade films of the period. This is my attempt to emulate that style. Think of an a airport docu-drama, with a plummy British accent ov...

I was interested to see this on the Nektar website. Could it be time to hang up the FCB1010. On the otherhand, I've never been exactly impressed by my P4's build quality and Nektar's ongoing support for Reason. http://www.nektartech.com/pacer-midi-daw-footswitch-controller.html nektar_nx_p_right_ft....

Re: NKS Ready support for Reason - who's with me?
Man, I sure would love NKS support for Reason. I've grown so frustrated with my Nektar Panorama's hardware (and Nektar's refusal to update it), that I've been eyeing the Komplete Kontrol line for a while now... but I have no interest in using Maschine, etc. Propellerhead - please add NKS support to...
