Getting rid of scales and chords

I tend to use "scales and chords" in "direct record" mode, so all notes are recorded to the instrument track. When I have a shedload of instruments recorded this way, would deleting the "scales and chords" devices have any effect on lowering CPU stress or load, in order to add more tracks and/or ins...

Ok, another dumb question

On "Scales and chords" I use the "direct record" button constantly, I'd have it set so as to be permanently on whenever I open one if I could.

But what the hell does the "send to track" button do?

8cros wrote::cool: It's pretty good. Try to listen to different acoustics. Or try to return to the track after the break. The composition has a lot of potential.

Can you expand on that please? I'm happy to take all the advice or help I can get.

(psuedo-classical-Celtic-ambient)The Lark Descending

https://soundcloud.com/taff_thomas/lark-descending A lament for the loss of the countryside and wildlife of the UK, under the bulldozers of increasing housing and population demands. Obviously, with apologies to Ralph Vaughan Williams. Thanks to Kenni for the harp, and Andy at softphonics for the s...

Yet another headphones question

OK, I'm slightly (Ok, quite a lot,) hard of hearing so cannot use monitor speakers, due to the neighbours from blocks away complaining they cannot hear their TV's when I'm playing/working on Reason. The missus has promised me a decent pair of headphones for Xmas. I'd like open backed ones, as I feel...

Re: New String Refill

Just bought Chambre at $34 Au, can't wait to get home and give them a whirl.

I must say I've been ever so impressed by the support and advice given by Andy of "softphonics".

(Sorry about raising a zombie thread BTW)

Separation

I have a great deal of trouble getting separation between instruments, can anyone offer any help?

Even when I have only 2 instruments, (a harp and a cello for example,) despite panning as hard as I can, they always seem to lack space.

All advice gratefully received.

Sounded fine through my home set up :-(
