RNS file format and saving
Hey, one thing I love about Reason is that RNS is self-contained, it contains everything. As long as I use only REs and built in instruments, I should be fine (I know there might be hidden dragons). Now, when I have a project with lots of audio data, does this mean that Reason rewrites the whole fil...

Re: Reason 12.6 Released (Apple Silicon, Offline Mode)
OK RS - The other night I jumped thru hoops to delete and re-sync all my REs. They all said Apple besides the "it.lenotelive.ReceiveNotes.1.1.2" which is a fail. Now I tried to open Reason and now it's telling me VSTs aren't on my computer which is weird since it didn't say that when I updated and ...

Re: Radical Piano installed twice
Ah I think I found it. I own Radical Piano before Reason 10 (I think was given us for free). When I uninstall the RE in the Authorizer it deletes the 1.0.4 (non hi-res) version. But when I click on sync all, which is the only reasonable way, it installs it back and also prefers it (I can tell becaus...

Radical Piano installed twice
Hey, I just upgraded to 12.6 and did a full cleanup on my Mac M1, however, after installation and resynchronization of all my devices I see that the Radical piano was installed twice: * /Users/lzap/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/RackExtensions/se.propellerheads.radicalpiano.1.0.4...

Re: Native Apple Silicon support and offline mode now in beta!
Yeah I know about the LLVM stuff they do, or whatever tech this wizardry is. I was just curious if someone can tell me "calm down it is there" but there is the NDA, so I should probably not even ask. Hopefully everything will be fine and I can continue spending money :-D There was a great talk about...

Anyone can confirm if PX7 got native version too? It is no longer for sale due licensing/patents (?) reasons but owners can still install it.

Chord sequencer free update?
I see FREE UPDATE on my account, what is that?
I purchased it last year. I do not understand. Or is this just eshop letting me know there was an update?

An update system that does not require to download 3 gigs on every update.
Don’t rush with R13, Props! Take your time to squash all these UI and Apple Silicon fixes which are surely ahead of us.

Re: The new M1 iPad and future of Reason
Wow I had no idea about the LLVM stuff they do, that's pretty surprising and great design and also great news for us - users.
Looks like they anticipated hardware platform changes, I mean, ARM is taking over the world currently. Microsoft just announced their developer ARM Mini PC too...

Re: The new M1 iPad and future of Reason
The RE format API and ABI are designed in a way that they can recompile all (even abandoned) REs for any new platform that is supported by LLVM, so they won't need rosetta2 for those. Sure but not all 3rd party REs can be recompiled, some vendors can be dead, lost source code etc. For these you nee...

Re: The new M1 iPad and future of Reason
There is nothing special about ARM, they just need to recompile Reason and figure out some solution to REs which cannot be updated anymore via Rosetta2. I would be very surprised if Reason 12 wasnt native.

As a bedroom producer upgrading every year is really not for me. But I love having the option to skip few releases, normally I am so hyped that I am only able to skip one version

You get R12 for free if you upgrade to R11 during (or perhaps after) the May Sale 2021! There is a huge banner on the top.
They haven't replied me yet (I did ask) but this is pretty official I guess. Upgrading!

Re: The new M1 iPad and future of Reason
What makes you think this cannot be solved? All the RE code can be part of the app, they will unlikely release ALL the REs, just those from Reason Studios for starters. It needs to be recompiled for ARM, customized for touch controls etc. All the (sample) data and resources can be downloadable tho, ...

Yeah its indeed technically possible but I want to hear your opinions on, I don't know, you think its gonna happen, you would love to have the full Reason on an iPad. The new M1 iPad and future of Reason
Hey, what are your takes on the new M1 iPad Pro and the buzz that Apple might actually announce Pro apps for iPads on the next developer conference? Since Pros might be rewriting a lot on the UI front, this might actually be chance to get closer to the dream: full Reason on iPads. I am not (Apple) d...
