Re: PSQ-1684 Showroom
Here is a tool for finding some percussive rhythms. PSQ doesn't need to be setup complicated in order to be usefull. This is a simple example. Malström (Keybased percussion) driven by a simple sequence. Parts used: A1 > S1: W1-W8, Q1 Rotaries controlling A1 modifiers for the rhytmic part I call her ...

Re: Dreamy Evolving Delay using The Echo Feedback Loop and Pulveriser
Seen that before reading the post here :D I really love using the echo and the khs Delay with Sunder. Can recommend everyone to give Sunder a try. Hope we will soon see something called "Litening" from Unfiltered. Hope selig will give us his version of the amplitude splitter with more features anyt...

Re: PSQ-1684 Showroom
Subscribed. Just to get things started... here's a very simple psq patch, nothing fancy at all. Actually psq is just used as a clock- and cv-source to get a kind of tweakable ratcheting percussion machine. The problem with psq-projects is that they tend to get rather complicated. Its easy to wire u...

Re: Dreamy Evolving Delay using The Echo Feedback Loop and Pulveriser
Nice one. I like the feedbackloop of The Echo, but i have some hard times not to overdrive the feedbackloop. Thank you, yeah I totally love it too, I end up spending like hours each time I start messing around with it... I simply get lost with those trippy sounds :D Not sure if it's of any help but...

PSQ-1684 Showroom - Let's go modular
http://lectricpanda.com/PSQ1684Front.png There are so many great ways to use PSQ. New to it and intrigued. This thread should become a reference on how to get creative with PSQ-1684. I'd also love to take the change on advancing into modular setups or totally creative new directions. Just everythin...

Re: SUNDER amplitude splitter by Unfiltered Audio is released
Could go on for hours. Just spent some time with a PSQ and KONG and a Sunder sandwich. Perfect modular love. I'm dying to buy this the next days. I love the dynamic gating. Set the low and high band close to each other to have a small mid band. Used a Pulveriser on the Low Band with the Env Followe...

Re: SUNDER amplitude splitter by Unfiltered Audio is released
This is not exactly the same thing - this splits the audio FIRST, then you apply effects to the individual bands. So if you're talking about the top/loud band, then it's similar. But you ALSO have lower bands as well which do different things. And also, you THEN blend all bands back together, which...

Re: SUNDER amplitude splitter by Unfiltered Audio is released
so is this thing a 3-band gate? Keep in mind. This is on the amplitude defined by dB, not to confuse with the common band stuff with frequency. The low Band is defined by the low knob. upper limit on the display (Blue bar, Blue Knob, Blue Band). Same geoes for the High band with read. The Mid Band ...

I don't have any better suggestions to what you mentioned here, but I've been suggesting mix "versions" being included in Reason from the time of Record - made a big post on that suggestion years ago and I'm guessing it's not on the Props radar at this point…would be VERY handy though. Perhaps you could use this RE from Hamu for this incremental counting: https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/modstepper-trig-to-step-cv-mod-level/ Oh ... That looks promising. Re: Reason Sound Quality
I think we're mostly agreed that Reason's stock synths are getting a bit long in the tooth, and showing their age compared to the more CPU-munching REs and VSTs of today. I'm not sure it's an area where Props are likely to invest much energy when not all buyers will be making synth-heavy music and ...

Re: Reason Sound Quality
Depends on a lot of things. Depends on whether there's anything else in the signal path such as a compressor or limiter that could be sounding "distorted" due to a short release time etc., depends on what your peak meters were showing (if you were peaking close to 0 dBFS it COULD be intersample cli...

Re: Reason Sound Quality
I've fixed a track of mine lately where I've been thinking it is inter sample clipping. It didn't show up clipping on the SSL, but I could clearly hear it. There have been a couple of MonoPoly's for pads running playing each chords in the range of C0 to C2 with 5 to 6 notes each. Maybe because by e...

Re: Reason Sound Quality
If you read discussions on other forums there is a lot of discussion about how bad the sound quality in Ableton is compared to xyz. It's a constant topic of debate debate. Reason was once commonly criticised for its sound quality. The criticism was levelled at the 14:2 mixer which apparently has a ...

It's not a DAW issue, it's a case of PEBCAC. I have to agree on that. Been a PEBCAC for quite some time before realising how to improve on different techniques to get the result I wanted. Got another idea, while creating a field scaper combinator for my upcoming EP. You can use the Env Follower from the Pulveriser for certain effects Will attach a basic setup. Try the Audio In of Parsecs Modifier 1. With version 2 there is also the link A>B switch for having 3 modulators additionally after the Audio In on Modifier 1. Have you tried FRITZ? For modulation sources I'll have a look for the next version of PSQ-1684, namely V3. It will have a modulation matrix. I already love it for modular stuff. ... I also like to use the Convolution Reverb on the RV7000 for this type of stuff, expecially in gated mode with short de...
