Re: POLL: Rent-A-Rack .. Have You Subscribed?

I like the idea of renting. But I'd prefer to change the devices more often if necessary. Last option missing is rent to buy, which would be the thing I'm doing, as I'm already putting money per month on the Reason-save-for-something-i-like account. But I just have to wait until the quota is reached.

Re: Parafilter III Sequencer RE

This tool is about fast prototyping and sculpting a sound, not about what's doable in Reason. Btw. I used to talk with him about this device for devloping and used it as "Native Device from Reason Song File" thing. You don't want to mess with a setup like this, believe me :) Besides that I'm sorry f...

Maybe ReWire VST http://www.energy-xt.com/index.php?id=0401 is something for you , if your dawn doesn't have native ReWire support.

Other than that, I'd always prefer native ReWire support.

Re: Respire or Spire?

Respire...I actually think thor trumps that in many many areas tbh. If you want Uplifting Trance ASOT or FSOE style out-of-the-box, then Spire is one of the best choices for sure! Use the scales player and set your chords properly. Most of the patches leverage the different OSCs set play chords. I ...

Re: What’s the best YouTube to MP3 converters?

Depends on wether you do an audio conversion or not. In detail jdownloader uses ffmpeg du demux(extract) the audio stream. This can also be lossless. Normally when doing sampling for me Reason is easier, as I can just record the snippets directly into Reason. The lossy-to-WAV conversion happens alwa...

Spire is a VST and Respire is a RE. Can't seem to find a difference. What would you guys get?
save yourself your money and get R10. I find Europa and Grain far more pleasing than ReSpire.

Thanks for that, Pushedbutton - got the VLC method down! I'm a bit confused about the format options, though. Say I look at the "information", as you described, and I see the audio format of the video in question is Ogg Vorbis. If I select Ogg Vorbis in the converter dialog, will it just save the r...

Please let the randomizer button where it is. The button I use most :)
I think what rcbuse meant is: Have the button additionally show when the device is folded.

AA is an ecrypted format. You need to use supported MP3 players or the audible app on you Smartphone/Tablet/Computer. I used to have audible years ago.

Re: Q: Tips using processor intensive RE's

In the settings set the Audio buffer to 4096 samples. CPU usage limit to none.Try different combinations of "Use multi-core audio rendering" and "Use hyper-threading audio rendering". These settings mostly help, when you have a lot of devices. You could also set the UI of Reason to low resolution mo...

Re: A few Nostromo questions

Here's why why it didn't fare better in the poll, in my opinion. It's not a traditional synth, in the sense that the oscillators are markedly different from what we're used to - instead of selecting a shape for them (sine, square...), you select a 3-layers variable sweep between 9 oscillators with ...
