Re: Do you wish Reason had a fully-fledged “Dark Mode”?
Maybe Props should allow us to change every graphic in Reason and let us save/load themes between us users? Or at least license graphics studios to do certified versions which meets Prop's criteria for_______(whatever). Speaking of graphics, whatever happened to that one guy on the PUF who always m...

Re: ID8? Well I'm surprised.
Back in the early 90s I was working with a big name Detroit producer on a song for ... probably one of the big R&B ladies of the era... anyway, we had all the latest keyboards and samplers... Akai E3, all the best Korg, Roland, and Yamaha boards and modules plus the very new Nord Lead... things were...

... “wait for note” when recording, step entry using sustain pedal for rests, auto punch in/out, SMPTE support, etc… Wait for Note! Such a simple ubiquitous little bit of functionality that's so common... at first I was like "of Course Reason has wait-for-note" but it doesn't. The other features pl...

Re: Volume and panning controls in the sequencer .
Yea, the problems with the Pro Tools suggestion is that the mixer channels are not represented in the Sequencer View unless you automate them. So you can't have a default Volume/Pan in the sequencer without adding a sequencer track for every Mix/Audio Channel in the mixer. It's because of the way t...

Re: Volume and panning controls in the sequencer .
There's a lot of real estate under the M and S buttons in the Reason Seq. Would be a nice place for tiny faders, one vertical and one horizontal.

Re: I want Dark Grid Lines
Looking at your pics, my main concern is that the heavier vertical time lines are un-even. They're not laid out in any logical spacing. --EDIT ok, I downloaded your pic and they're evenly spaced but it's strange that just looking at the pic on the website, they looked unevenly spaced as if the heavy...

Re: Comping problem
I've got to join the 20th century (we'll talk about the 21st later) and learn decent comping tecniques. I never use comping in Reason nor playlists in Pro Tools. I've resisted it for decades by doing manual editing of separate tracks into one take because that's what I was used to...it's silly real...

Re: Branching undo history + autosave
The cool thing is you could undo the 10th action without undoing what came after it. The names can be the same as what's already there. So in this picture, you could select any item and it will only undo that item without affecting the other. Yea, but this seem to be complicated to handle for the u...

Re: Reason 10.2 with workflow improvements. - OUT NOW
On tape machines? No, on Drum machines, yes. That was an improvement and something you can't do on tape machines. I would say the majority of the time I stopped on a tape machine was to rewind back to a selected marker time in order to re-record, stack, or listen back. In essence, that was a manual...

Screen Shot 2018-09-27 at 4.48.56 PM.pngEvery Sequencer I've ever loved has had a Play/Start button. A Play Triangle with a vertical dash next to it. And if it didn't, then it had a PAUSE button which is what the Reason button actually does. It pauses, then continues from where it left off. I love ...

A second ctrl A should work but it doesn't. Doing it once selects everything. Doing it again should deselect everything.

Re: Branching undo history + autosave
An undo history palette would be great. When undoing some major changes, it's a nuisance having to keep mashing cmd-z for however long until you get back to what you wanted to undo. (Using a version-control system was suggested in this thread, but that doesn't solve the same problem as this at all....

Re: Exclude minor things from undo list
The dreaded undo-redo-undelete-delete conundrum... (it's in the Bible) I have the same delimma from time to time - but I've seen other DAW's undo maze.... and, NO. It may need a re-working of your mute-management system. I like it the way it is. I remember every mute and solo. And, yes, after EQing...

Re: Branching undo history + autosave
For Reason, I would like to exclude simple things from the undo list like muting tracks and soloing tracks and stick to major functions. I agree. Reason undoes too much. I find it great a times but annoying at other times. I think more annoying than I do not. Moving an instrument that you can just ...

Re: Branching undo history + autosave
The Photoshop selective undo is absolutely wonderful. For instance; you've deleted a track, changed the length of a phrase, changed a preset , created another instrument, dug through tons of sounds, then played a perfect take...then you realize you've deleted the wrong track! With selective undo, y...

Exclude minor things from undo list
For Reason, I would like to exclude simple things from the undo list like muting tracks and soloing tracks and stick to major functions. I'm editing a track and I notice it conflicts with another track so I go hunting down that track by soloing each track until I find the offending instrument. When ...

Option to record only one track at a time.
When stacking background tracks or recording where you're quickly making multiple takes on different tracks, I've made the mistake of arming one track without disarming the previous track. A quick "one track only" button would save me from myself. It's simple, and easily avoidable but I've seen many...

YES!
Six hundred times yes.
Works great when musicians are playing a complex part together and you want to tighten up their accuracy in spots. Also works great when replacing dialog or tightening bkg vocals.
