Dual arpeggiator triggering
I only just started making tunes where I need arpeggiators. I'm not familiar with them at all.. So quick stupid question: How can I get Dual Arpeggiator to start the arpeggio from the beginning everytime a new note is triggered? Now it starts wherever it left last time or something. This video conta...

1TB Office 365 UI is pretty good, and ok priced I guess...
I just disable the realtime backup for 2 or 8h when making music. I have nothing to complain about it.
My whole library takes now around 100GB and is synced to my travelling laptop too.

Re: Editing chords question
I mean when you are in edit mode and move the notes up and down, it would be fantastic if I heard the whole chords and not just the note... somehow. Maybe there is a way to do this? (other than selecting all the notes of the chord every single time...)

Editing chords question
What would be your best strategies to edit and audition whole chords and chordprogressions FAST? I see there are some shortcuts for this without having to use/move locators in Ableton f.ex. (command+space etc)

I will also certainly be purchasing future Soundcells refills too. Usable, well designed stuff, unlike some out there.

Stylus RMX in Reason
I'm not sure if I can picture/understand how Stylus RMX-type of loop-based device would work in Reasons VST-system.
Do any of you Betatesters have it, so you could comment about the functionality?

Re: rules, laws, advices for creativity
This works quite well for me/my kind of music. It's probably not the best method for everything. Pick a good lead-sound and just write some short melodies for a day or two. Then next I listen to them and try some harmonies around them. It's kind of making rules what you are allowed to do at the mome...

Good stuff! A bit edgy, aggressive, in-your-face, mix-/soundchoices for me maybe, but cool. Also really liked your tenor-sound the Hargrove tune

Re: Reason 8.1 & above CPU Stress Test (songfile included)!
Just to let you know: There are companies, that buy power-workstations from ended leasing-contracts, refurbish/customise them, and sell to consumers. I bought my 3 year old 8-core Xeon E5-2660 Dell for 650€ here in Finland. 12months warranty. Now I see I could get the 2 x 6 core v3 version of same C...

Hey. Yes, it would be excellent if we would actually be able to edit slices in Octorex. You can move hitpoints by holding Ctrl+Shift and dragging the hitpoint left or right.          :thum...

Re: Yet another headphones question
Sennheiser HD600 and 650 are the most comfortable ones I've used. 650 is a little soft sounding compared to many and as almost all open cans, lack the lowest bass. I mostly work with closed DT770pro. Not as comfy to my ears, but I'm really used to it's tiny bit harsh sound and very accurate bass. Th...

Re: Mixing, Exporting, Levels, Sigh.
I would like it to differ from most fusion/jazz and be more about seriously powerful rhythmic figures and sounds that you can FEEL the same way that ... I don't know, some classic hiphop drum maschines? :/ The drumbeat is the thing in this one. Together with some perc and loops it creates a very coo...

Re: Mixing, Exporting, Levels, Sigh.
The more "transient" the sound, the softer it will sound compared to more "sustaining" sounds. This is because our ears "average" the sound level over time. So your track, which starts with hand claps and short Rhodes chord stabs, is going to need more level than something like a B3 pad or distorte...

Re: Mixing, Exporting, Levels, Sigh.
Bottom line: If it sounds good, it IS good. ;) Yeah, but I must confess I sometimes misjudge very good music as good mixing too when I listen to new music :) It kind of overrides all mixing flaws... maybe happens to professionals too sometimes? :) Gotta learn. I made this one a bit more compressed ...
