Re: Does anyone actually benefit from instrument tags?

I had this one gnarly Reason skin tag but was able to burn it off with a strong blast using general MIDI percussion map#1

Re: RIP Steve Albini

Never knew him either, but his footprint was large. Serious engineering and business skills, and just ears.
His disavowal of the points system of royalties struck me and still strikes me as true. Though I was cut a point or two in my time, and it helped my beat ass.

Re: What does everyone have in the mastering section?

In my experience the only way to beat GAS is to keep buying stuff until there’s nothing left to buy. It seems to be working so far.

Re: DIY rockwool acoustic panels

Fiberglass can be an itchy nightmare, continuously sheds glass particles if not hermetically sealed, especially if you're moving panels in and out of place. There's an alternative made out of recycled blue jeans, more expensive no doubt.

Totes enamored of the Kuassa Ringo pluggin. If you listen closely, you can hear Paul Mac batch in the drum overheads. "I coulda done that better".

Univibe seems like a pedal that nobody really seems to be able to figure out the recipe of the secret sauce. The Coca-Cola or pedals. I thought Turn2on did an excellent job with CustomVibe I know this is a Kuassa thread, trust me Kuassa dominates my effects cache. Caliburn B chan 1 is my safe spot.

So does anyone own and use a Red Rock Sound multiband compressor and/or limiter?
Can anyone recommend buying one? And if - which one to pick for universal electronic synth setup?
I have the C1-L1. It is quite versatile, especially with the attack/release adjustment on the back.

For bouncing to 2 track, Softube FET, bypassed typically. Then onto actual mastering w/ that 2 track.
