Biggest changes to your workflow when switching to Reason 8?
PS One thing about the new browsing that I think gets too little spotlight is replacing devices with drag and drop. I've started using that a lot, for trying out different compressors etc, including devices without patch support. Changes my way of working quite a bit. That and the automatic colorin...

I have made a song to my baby-boy
I find this sort of stuff very pretty. Well done Sir! I like the sound and the feel.. The whole weird circusy thing thats going on, quite theatrical. Fitting to a little boys imagination ;) As for the production. For me its sometimes a bit hard to hear all the different parts, but that can be my pro...

So to those of you having adjusted to the new R8 auditioning 'improvements': are you at a point where you are satisfied/comfortable with the changes prefer Props bringing back the Modal browser, prefer Props make a Modal browser a new option (i.e. keep whats there, but have a key that can pop up a...

Reason targeted ads on ReasonTalk.
What about, instead of Reason targeted Ads, the various Devs made an account here and periodically put in some great posts about their products. The best ad for a product is when a dev explains questions about their products ;) As i see now thats permitted within the rules. Added benefit is that the...

G8 point update to 1.2
Just saw this pop up in the store:
https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/g8-dynamic-gate/
https://shop.propellerheads.se/product/g8-dynamic-gate/
NEW IN 1.2: G8 is officially zero-latency now that an unintended single-sample delay has been removed. The lookahead display has also been made more precise to allow for better control.

For me personally, anything with less then a 4 octave keyboard i find pretty useless anyway. So i'm not too bothered with minikeys.
i'll wait for a module version anyway, like with the MS20, which is going to be available, Yay !!

Breakout Jacks (-jacks (-jacks (-jacks (-jacks ( ... ))))
Yeah, we just had a thread on the old PUF about that.
Someone suggested to put synchronous in the breakout loop (thanks for that). Its an awesome idea that i've had loads of usefull fun with.
Until then i usually put the ART in the breakout loop for coloring.

Cancelling Solo
There is no solo mode switch. Reason has its own solo and mute logic that behaves more like additive.
There's also a "solo all off" button.. its an extra click, but the result is the same-ish..

I've been playing around with them and i like it!
For $5 you get quite a lot. Not only do the patches sound great, there are also a couple of solid polished combinators with descriptive backdrops, and a manual describing the idea behind every one of 'm.
Highly recommended !

First of all I appreciate your reply eauhm. Everything I mentioned is a bit odd to me because I built the computer I'm using with Asus Crosshair V MB a 6 core Processor, 16 gig RAM, Samsung SSD and a High Performance WD 2T HDD. I never had any problems with audio until recently. So decided to exper...

If its not the codemeter control center complaining then you can ignore those messages. They are most likely not related to stuttering.
Stuttering usually has to do with the buffer size being too small. Please review your buffer size settings within reason.

Yes, kind of like iLock.
Just out of curiosity, who's telling you Code meter is full ?
If its the operating system saying that, then you can ignore it. The codemeter does come up as a thumbdrive but with limited space and 0 bytes available.

No More Downvoting Allowed?!
I am ambiguous about downvoting.. It can be a good marker for some people who always think they have a silent majority on their side when they start ranting. When they see they only get downvotes they tend to stop the ranting. Had some good experiences on a programming forum where I'm admin with th...

I don't like the idea of anonymous negativity. I think its bad for a community. I much rather see people stay out of a thread or disagree in a constructive manner that benefits us all. I think one of the problems with the props forums was that people felt entitled to vent anything there because they...

How's your archive project going? All this talk and nobody tried but me? Really? I kept going for another day until it locked up. it's just too big an unwieldy. My advice is just let it go, that forum wasn't worth saving anyway. 90% noise, arguments, trolling, and passing the time, 10% tutorials, ...

POLL: What version of Reason do you currently own?
When i beta-ed i was not convinced. Bought the update anyway because i like the platform and want to see it evolve. Since then i've grown to appreciate the new browser. It defenitely helped speed up my workflow. Wouldn't want to go back now.
