Re: Pro Tools vs Reaper
Just use play rate slider in reaper. It used to be a slider, think now it's a circular button. Lower it down and see how much you want to go, record, put it back to default. Can't be easier than that. We use it for recording Alvin voices in a show. Sounds much nicer then using pitchshifters with tim...

Re: Is it possible to randomize a rack extension's parameters?
F Yeah! Few notes. Make sure you save a snapshot when you like what it did to a patch. So you press ctrl+mouse click for random and when you like it, Alt+ click - save snapshot and then go to the next cell. If you don't do that you will loose that snapshot when you go back to it. Great way to start ...

Re: Is it possible to randomize a rack extension's parameters?
LaunchEon or Morpher. You can't thank me later. Any question? I'm all ears. tx M I'll thank you now! Thanks. The morpher looks like a useful tool regardless! Though it doesn't do exactly what I'm after. LaunchEon looks incredible but also maybe a little too deep for what I need and expensive. Great...

Re: Assuming there's going be one, what you think is coming in Reason 13?
I don't know what is the next thing in Reason, but I would loooove to se "firmware updates" for devices, old and new. Something lie SonicCharge Permutate for example. You load a firmware and a device transforms into something different/updated. Imagine you load a firmware into Matrix and it becomes ...

Re: Assuming there's going be one, what you think is coming in Reason 13?
If they stopped updating today, I would still have the greatest software for my type of music ever. Even without RE's it's so rich and fun. It's a 1to1 gear simulator...what more could you want? Of course I wish it had some features and I don't think they could ever stop adding and me not "needing" ...

Re: Rack Extension vs VST plug-in prices
I use Reason as a DAW and since the introduction of VST inside Reason, never looked back. Vst's work great and overall it's such a good implementation. MIDI out for VST's and I'm a happy man. Quite a few developer are obviously leaving Re format and while it's a shame for users, I can understand it...

Auto compensation(plugin delay compensation) can change sound when off/on. Check that. Down right corner.

Re: Now's my chance on Noise Engineering!
I got it all. Delay, Reverb Distortion TOP! Delay can get so weird. Reverb is also very weird. As for the synths, they all do something different off course, but Basimilus is my favorite. Manis is great, but starts to sound kinda the same after the while, or rather to recognizable. Loquelic is the o...

Re: Is it really necessary to buy a midi controller?
Nice to have buttons to twist with both hands, if you're doing automation. A few other things you can do with a midi controller, beside playing notes. Launching clips, playing drums, trying out sequences if it has a sequencer built in.
Enjoy.

Re: Kompulsion is glued to ID8
Propulsion and matrix are not players. Only players behave like that(load ID8 instrument as default), because a player can't be alone in the rack. It needs an instrument first.

Re: MusicTech: Niklas Agevik talks Reason
Most things people - incl. myself - expect from Reason is for them to makes things easier, the workflow smoother, to remove hurdles and reduce friction. When you look at my list it's basically things that get in the way for me: * I need keyboard shortcuts (for faster MIDI editing), * MIDI comping &...
