Re: The Ubisoft NFTs Have COMPLETELY FAILED
If more people realized this... Well it's absolutely true but I guess if more folks realized this then money might be worth more than the paper it's printed on lol something is only worth as much as we believe it to be.. same concept as "something is only as worth as much as someone is willing to p...

Re: Any thoughts on stem mastering vs standard mastering?
The way I see it is, you need stem mastering when you need mastered stems. The only application where you require mastered stems, as far as I know (after seeing a very elaborate explanation by Junkie XL), is for big movie productions where the music gets mixed on the sound stage together with dialo...

Re: Any thoughts on stem mastering vs standard mastering?
The only gripe I have with the idea of stem mastering is that… it’s essentially impossible — unless you limit each group bus before the 2 mix and then apply a final limiter at the end. In other words, you have to do something pretty destructive to cause a shift in mentality and workflow to not call...

Re: Any thoughts on stem mastering vs standard mastering?
Thank for the input guys.. I had read recently, which apparently was in regards to electronic music, that if you break your track up into the main elements, as Davey_G mentioned then you master each of the elements then simply mix them after each element was mastered and limited I guess and then the...

Any thoughts on stem mastering vs standard mastering?
I have yet to try stem mastering but was curious if anyone had any pros/cons opinions on stem mastering. It seems, at least from my research, that it seems more appropriate for electronic music... Anyhow any opinions would be great...

Re: The Ubisoft NFTs Have COMPLETELY FAILED
This has no effect on my belief that actual NFTs are a con and a money-laundering scam. Hey, here is the news. Money isn't real. It only works because enough people believe it works. Same with NFTs. If more people realized this... Well it's absolutely true but I guess if more folks realized this th...

Re: Your reason. Your Sound?
I start from scratch as well but didn't use to. I used to have a fairly loaded template but found it actually distracted me during the writing process. I use alot of presets mainly because I'll get my workflow sidetracked if I start messing with something. I try to just stick to writing and arrangin...

Re: RS Bassline Generator Sneak Peak
Personally I think basslines are the easiest part of writing.. unless your doing some really busy melodies but even then it's not that hard... Are we at a point where we just push one button and a song is produced? If you don't have the money to spend on a bassline generator, just send your basslin...

Thoughts on Arcade by Output?
I have a ton of samples and don't mind adjusting pitch or stretching in Reason but any Arcade users out there that have any thoughts on it good or bad? Is it a work-flow thing? Or what about the monthly samples provided in subscription?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: SM58 vs SM58S (best with an on/off switch or not?)
What are you trying to loop, vocals or guitar? I actually used two vocal mics years ago, one clean and one used pedals on, one of which was a boss looper... I did live vocal tweaks in shows and you have to have either a mute medal or switch to make sure you don't get unnecessary or unwanted feed bac...

I'm sure this will sound kinda funny but I try not to listen to music for awhile if I'm trying to get into the creative mindset.. as I've gotten older I listen to less and less music in the car, now sports talk radio lol, but I find I rely more so on just instinct and vibe rather than hearing someth...

Re: Is Audiomatic Tape setting a good emulation?
It's only OK from my point of view .. One kinda cool thing I discovered and it's only for hiss and artifacts, but the free DIRT RE and free Valve RE can get some really cool tape ambience... Basically put DIRT first then put the Valve RE after the dirt and use the Corrugated Pipe preset on the Valv...

Re: Are you taking advantage of blocks?
One thing that I always thought would be cool in Reason was a feature in Adobe Audition, which is the very first DAW I ever worked with, which is choosing multiple clips and locking them together with a simple right click and lock option.. you can lock any clip in any track and move them around very...
