Re: Fielding SoundWorks - Massive Cyberscapes
Ahh damn, sorry to hear that! As I said above, I haven't ruled out the possibility of working with Reason devices again in the future, but right now I'm thinking it makes sense to try something different and to remain DAW-agnostic where possible... but I bloody love Thor so yeah, I think that'll ha...

Re: Fielding SoundWorks - Massive Cyberscapes
Don't own Massive, am an exclusive Reason user, shame because I really like the stuff you have done within reason, if it was a refill it would have been an instabuy

Re: Proton 1.1 in the shop
Liked the first version but found it a little fiddly, a shame we can't retry it. I'm not prepared to throw down money on a synth that has had such a major update without seeing if I like it first. If the props are away for a month then the sale period is gone and I wouldn't expect the dev to extend ...

Sorry for the sore bum. :( There are privacy settings at Google to direct them not to track you. They are buried, of course — and who knows if they really work — but here are some helpful links for you: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/2790761?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en&oco=1 https:/...

Re: So what's holding us back musically?
Yes our ears are holding us back. You think by now there would be a fad going on with people making stuff in reason for example, with the volume bar set to zero. Maybe it's something worth trying? Create a track only using reason visually, I mean most of us know how to create patterns and wha...

Re: Be honest, do you use presets often?
Depends really, If I'm testing out a new synth I will build sounds from scratch but I will also use presets as jump off points and shape the sound to my liking. I also like using combinators and replacing elements of them with my own like taking one in a refill that I like the effects on and using a...

Re: For the popular people on SoundCloud
if you build it they will come. EDIT: oh and i'm not popular on soundcloud ^.^ i just notice things. good producers will acquire a following eventually. sometimes by following trends and sometimes by changing the entire game. This too. Many artists get success after they change their musical genre ...

Re: I want to burn every gym to the ground
What's wrong with something like this? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CaagSfBj2To Without the KGB following you of course. Seriously, I never understood why people congregated at gyms full of egotistical stinking sweaty people when humans have been getting fit using nature for millions of years, do...

This forum?
jus kiddin.
Probably self confidence and belief more than anything.
It would be ideal if a musician didn't have the ability to hear their own creations like a certain famous one. Then they would just make music all day without their worst critic tearing it to shreds

Re: Tectonic in the shop
A nice approach, sounds great, slick, simple GUI. Definitely going to demo this and most probably at that price snap it up after a little play around. Congratulations  Great to see with all the fuss over VSTs devs are still releasing quality :re: and long may it continue. Don't give up gu...

Re: Duckie has left Reason Talk
I have decided that I am too much turning into a cranky old man. And a selfish bastard one at that. So I am going to get off my self-obsorbed high horse and listen to the music that others post. I will probably not "critique," however. I will try to say only nice things. I once told a fellow musici...

Re: For the popular people on SoundCloud
There are tons of artists on soundcloud that make fantastic music and have hardly any listens. sometimes it just comes down to blind luck that the right person or people hear your music or just simply promoting yourself 24/7 until you reach someone that can open that door to their network and audien...

Re: Experimentation Song Challenge Thread
A random idea generator I've used before is to load a percussion or drum rex file, copy to track and then browse other percussion/drum rex files or even instruments to get odd patterns and sounds.
Came up with some unique song starters this way.

Not used a VST in reason since the feature was implemented and I don't intend to for all the reasons above.

Re: Duckie has left rt
Yes, I reckon all of us wouldn't mind some affirmation from our peers. And at the same time, maybe some of us are ... well ... perhaps not terribly interested in a lot of what others are making, and therefore, not inclined to comment. So that's kind of a paradox. I personally have no interest in cr...
