Noise Engineering Synth Bundle 2 Challenge

Noise Engineering and ReasonTalk are happy to announce the details of the Noise Engineering Synth Bundle 2 Song Challenge.

Prize list

  • 1st prize: Synth Bundle 2
  • 2nd prize: 2 REs from Synth Bundle 2 – your choice
  • 3rd prize:  1 RE  from Synth Bundle 2 – your choice

Rules*

The usual stuff, details can be found below. 🙂 All synth sounds should come from REs found in Synth Bundle 2. All songs have to be original, i.e. no remixes or covers are allowed. Importantly, all participants agree by submitting their entry to the challenge that their contribution (or an excerpt from it) may be presented on Noise Engineering SoundCloud and on the Propellerhead Shop page of Synth Bundle 2 with credits, of course. Moreover, by submitting a song to the challenge, participants express that all sounds and samples they have used are cleared.

  • Only 3 winners with no cash alternative
  • Only one entry per participant
  • Song challenge begins at November 17th, 2018
  • Song challenge ends at December 9th, 2018 @ 11:59 pm Stockholm time
  • After the closing date, you are not allowed to resubmit your entry. Any re-submissions or alterations will result in disqualification
  • All entrants, when requested, must be prepared to provide evidence that the rules have been adhered to. This includes providing a copy of the Reason song file to verify that only REs found in Synth Bundle 2 were used for synth sounds.
  • Judges’ decision is final

Submission

All participants must post their song in this thread and we will update this post to include each entry. This confirms that your song was accepted. After submitting your song you should not alter it anymore.

We encourage participants to use #SynthBundle2, #NoiseEngineering, #Ataraxic Iteritas Vereor, #Basimilus Iteritas Vereor, #Cursus Iteritas Vereo, #Loquelic Iteritas Vereor, #Manis Iteritas Vereor, #Sinc Iter Vereor, #ReasonTalk when uploading entries to SoundCloud, Allihoopa or other hosts.

Rules continuing from above*

What you are allowed to use in your song (with copyright permission):

  • Synth Bundle 2 for all synth sounds
  • Any Factory Sound Bank drum and vocal samples
  • Third party drum and vocal samples
  • Samples created via Synth Bundle 2 (keep the original Synth Bundle 2 as proof)
  • Any recorded live instruments and vocals up to maximum 50% of tracks in the project (multi takes count as one)
  • FX: Any native Reason, Rack Extension or VST Effect (including FX part of another Synth)
  • Utility: Any native Reason or Rack Extension
  • Players: All players are allowed

What you cannot use in your song:

  • Any synth that is not part of the Synth Bundle 2 (including Combinators featuring Synth Bundle 2 that include any other synth as sound source)
  • No external plug-ins or hardware synths
  • No instrument samples added directly to a track (other than Synth Bundle 2 synths)
  • No programs outside of Reason that generate synth sounds
  • No copyrighted material
  • No remixes or cover songs
