I cannot wait to upgrade to 9.5. In the meantime I figure I would start a thread on FREE VSTs that don't suck:
Plugin-Alliance have several freebies that are very useful and I use often:
BX-subfilter https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/prod ... ilter.html
BX-RockRack (guitar amp sim): https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/prod ... layer.html
BX_solo (mid/side tool): https://www.plugin-alliance.com/en/prod ... _solo.html
Then there is Tokyo DAWN:
NOVA dynamic eq: http://www.tokyodawn.net/tdr-nova/
A bunch others but those seem to always work in my tracks!

My opinion is that Propellerhead REASON needs a complete rewrite!
P.S: people should stop saying "No it won't happen" when referring to a complete rewrite of REASON. I have 3 letters for ya....VST

Voxengo offers 14 free plugins - some are more useful than others, but they are all solid and reliable:

Voxengo doesn't get a lot of recognition, but they've been around for years and several of their for-pay plugins are top-notch. The UI won't win any awards, but don't be put off by that.
