Ever since I poured a beer on my laptop, I've been producing with sticks and stones. Although they could use some compression at times, the workflow is so much better. I look forward to down grading again.

If you hate it so much and didn't want any new features, why did you bother upgrading to the new version?
Propellerhead grew from a small company to having many employees, so all these people have been going to work for years and years, and they're working on stuff, and the result of their work is new features and new versions of Reason. What did you expect them to do? Give up on their successful business and quit their entire business after reaching Reason 4 just because one random person in Germany doesn't like anything above version 4? I hope you are happy with Reason 4, just keep using it and never upgrade ever again. Stay true to your word, and don't even try Reason 10 when it comes out because you don't want the new features anyway.

Just don't use the SSL? Haha. Really don't get it. Uninstall all the rack extensions, disable VSTs and use the 14:2 + original stock devices. Then if you need audio tracks or bouncing in place etc you've got it, surely?

I mean whatever - if you're happy working on 4, that's cool. Better you than me haha.

But I think sometimes devs are damned if they do and damned if they don't. If version 10 removed all the new features and went back to 4/5 with no racks or new devices, the "I don't like new things" brigade would be up in arms!
