Any guesses on what one of the 30+ new products might be?

Maybe more boutique stuff? Something has to be 909 related...

I never really understood the fascination with the 303.

And don't they already have an Aira 303?

I Think Roland is going to surprise us , I am thinking they BS a bit and are going to give us some cool synth's and hardwares but I really think they will bring also a lot of software products .
30 products imagine that ....
so at best : Cube speakers , new Digital drums set of batteries , new hardware modulre 500 series rack(s) ,one or two Aira products (maybe a SP) , one or two boutique products , maybe apps and softwares and plug-ins (a major part of the 30 products in list) like a new R-Mix version + that serrato thing , a few goodies like shirt , custom jacks etc...

no idear but lot's of idears LOL

The Aira range nailed the 303. There's also the Audio Realism Bassline RE which is just like the real thing.

This looks fun. But if it's not analog, I probably wouldn't go for it because ABL3 is already an awesome sounding, incredibly accurate emulation. If it's digital, still a better option IMO than the AIRA version...

Better than AIRA? Sounds Wrong. I have the Boutique JP-08. Brilliant Sound….

Image
(1) at 44.1kHz. AIRA… 96kHz.
(2) Each Knob/Fader/etc on AIRA sends Midi CCs. Not so on JP-08. HUGE difference in knobs and faders.
(3) Both Audio over MIDI, MIDI IN/OUT.
(4) who the heck wants to program a 303 the OLD way? No one could do it (well) before). AIRA.. Cake.
(5) While the JP-08 operates on Batteries, there (is?) was no official power adapter.
TB-303 doesn't need power with the MX-1. And, there is a power adapter.
(6) XY pad on TB-3
(7) Briliant Sound!
(8) TB-3 : Real Time Recording vs TB-03: Step Sequencing alone, it seems.
(9) At $300 & $500 for the TB-3 & TR-8, respectively, I'm interested in the TB03/TR09 Pricepoint JP-08:$400.
A bit of specific information about the units to avoid mis-directions.

That said… Im glad I waited out Volcas Beats.
Id much rather have the TB-09 as my traveling Drum sequencer (analog notwithstanding):
…. just the seperate Tune knobs alone makes this more appealing.

Proper Env Mod and Decay knobs on the TB-03? Also the Boutique stuff can send using CCs now, there was a firmware update. The TB3 didn't sound right to my ears, I think there was something weird with the accent. I wonder if this is improved in the TB-03?

MIdi-CC's on the JP-08? I haven't read that yet but if that's TRUE?? YES!!! That's some Great News!
Now, it's fully worth the Cost, IMO.
About the Sound of the TB-3. I've been at it for a bit now... I like it a lot! DEEEEP and spacious.

Only the Novation BASS intrigues me more at this point.. for BASS.
Three more days and we'll ALL know what's coming!

Yeah I didn't like the TB-3. I didn't understand the flickering display; made it seem like something was wrong with the unit. Missing the decay and env mod knobs. And it just didn't sound right to my ears.

And if it's digital, but not portable (as in you need to be tethered to power or a computer), might as well use better software. That's just my opinion.

I'm a fan of the Volca Bass. That is not meant to be a 303 (although it pays homage to it with it's look). It is something different and it sounds amazing. And it's analog with a great sounding, smooth filter. And it's battery-powered with a built-in speaker which makes for lots of fun jamming anywhere away from a computer.

The Boutique line offers that portability (battery operation and built-in speakers). So when considering something digital like the TB-3 (if it is digital) at least it allows you to be away from computer playing anywhere (presumably based on the Boutique line). Just my two cents :)

"Presumably it’s modelled after the 10 band Roland VP-330 vocoder. That machine also had choir and string sounds and is regarded as the best sounding vocoder ever produced. "

"I’m not very excited by the idea of a new Vocoder but I’m sure there’s plenty of people who will be. "
I am. Never had so much fun with it's subtleties until using the Vocodor feature in the Kaoss Pad/Kaossilator.

Would still love it if the Roland VST plugins were released as REs.
