Re: Do RE creators set sale prices?

I think the OP just didn't manage to get through the first line of defence of generic support where their objective always seems to be to reply blandly and then close the ticket. It's a very common thing these days. I'm sure someone at Korg knows lots about the REs. That’s exactly what’s happening....

Re: Do RE creators set sale prices?

I would guess that the Korg Re.s are effectively abandonware and person at Korg who set them up probably left years ago and no-one else has a clue. I’m starting to feel that way too. Softube REs were in the shop for a couple years without a sale IIRC before just disappearing from the shop. Now they...

Re: Do RE creators set sale prices?

Here you go. Use Google translate to pick the right option as there seem to be two email options: https://www.korg.com/jp/support/ After using google translate like you suggested I saw this. I sent an email to see how they’d respond. But if they refer me back to Korg USA then I’m back to square one...

Re: Do RE creators set sale prices?

I'm pretty sure you were talking to a human but it might as well have been one of those DumbBots that are becoming ever more prevalent in support communications. I often wonder what those people are like in real life. Just from reading the responses you can tell it’s just a generic script they use ...

Re: Do RE creators set sale prices?

Well their name being “Korg USA” should have been the first clue, my dude. That’s the only contact available from the site from what I found. Even the link that the rep provided doesn’t have an option to write in to HQ where he states they would handle this. So if you have a better contact method b...

Re: Do RE creators set sale prices?

Confirmed. The rep didn’t know what they were talking about. They must’ve asked someone else. Because this should’ve been the first and only answer given. ME: “So what you are saying is when the Polysix and Monopoly rack extensions go “on sale” Korg never sets the sale price. It’s up to Reason Studi...

that's interesting,

if the korg re's are reason studio products why are they not included in the + bundle
I think I got someone who just doesn’t know what they’re talking about. This person may not even be familiar with the RE format.

Do RE creators set sale prices?

Korg is currently running a sale but not on the REs so I messaged support to see if they will have a sale and these are the responses I received. Me: “Hello, I would like to know when your Korg Rack extensions will be on sale as they are not included in your holiday sale?” Korg: “Thank you for conta...

What Reason version, OS and chipset are you running? And is complex -1 up to date? Just curious if it’s specific to your system.

Re: Assuming there's going be one, what you think is coming in Reason 13?

Width control is not really mono button. No, technically it is a mono “knob”, which one could argue is way more powerful than just an “either/or” button. Like a synth oscillator or filter with key tracking On/Off vs being able to dial in the amount of tracking, or a compressor with a few ratio butt...

Plus, they need to push the subscription and regular new versions are key to that. 2024 will definitely bring R13.
What is your guess on when it will drop? I’m guessing Q2 around May.

There is mono on each channel - the "Width" knob.
Question still remains. From your statement “other things” that I posted were in previous versions. What are those things? Width control is not really mono button.

Re: Assuming there's going be one, what you think is coming in Reason 13?

...not to mention some of them were available in previous versions, e.g. #7 (mono button in Mixer) could be added via Master insert programmer (a Combinator, for all intents and purposes), but they've ripped out the Inserts portion of the mixer willy-nilly, just because  What other thing...

Re: Are the Chords Seq Select Chord CV notes supposed to be random?

The Select Chord Output doesn't have anything to do with the actual chord being played at that moment. What it does is use a CV value to activate the same one of the 16 Chord pads in another Chord Sequencer. For example, if the primary Chord Sequencer plays the first Chord pad in the second row fro...

Are the Chords Seq Select Chord CV notes supposed to be random?

https://youtu.be/Rcco3rXddgI I was checking to see if the Select Chord output would follow the noted from my midi controller or just send out the Highest or Lowest note in the chord to control the noted of Drum Seq. Somehow it's neither. None of the CV notes match up with my midi controller or any n...

Re: Assuming there's going be one, what you think is coming in Reason 13?

These are just my 10 guesses for the DAW proper and what’s coming in the shop. I think maybe 2-3 from each are possible but if it’s TL:DR basically I don’t think any of this is gonna happen just guessing. 1. Track Folders (they have to give us something with the mixer) 2. Mixer dark mode(praying for...

Re: Bassline Generator Opinions

Paired with monotone it’s great for getting some melody ideas when the octave is set higher for more plucks and arp(C3 and higher) and like Crimsonwarlock stated, paired with Pattern Mutator you have a ton of possibilities. So it has great value but I would replace any other players with it to have ...

I tried to reproduce the pattern as closely as possible based on your screenshot and couldn't detect any volume change when switching between blocks and sequencer mode. I'll add that I'm on windows and not macOS. Could you share the reason file? Also, based on your screenshot hit 7 is -2, but 6 is ...

Volume Bug with Umpf Retro/DS/Blocks/Seq Mode

I was just messing around with Umpf Retro and Drum Seq player and happened to switch the sequencer into Blocks mode while the pattern was playing in DS and I noticed a very weird volume change in the mix of the drums switching back and forth. Hits 4 and 7 sound at the same time but are offset a bit,...

I'm confused, are we talking here about PSQ 1684 or Polystep? Everyone keeps talking about Sequences vs "PSQ" but it says Sequences vs Polystep
I’ve seen Polystep Sequencer abbreviated to PSQ in previous post so that’s why I used it. I figured context would keep it clear. Sorry that it didn’t.
