Re: Papen Quad update coming
I got word that Quad RE will be updated with a new reverb and filters. Patch compatible with the newly released VST  Nice! Although at the moment I have to say it is one of my least favorite synths... It just doesn't speak much to me... Maybe time to revisit it once the update lands... ;...

Re: Anyone Here Authorized For Offline Use?
i haven't been able to authorize RE's for weeks and it's really annoying. I posted about it like a week ago https://forum.reasontalk.com/viewtopic.php?p=492432#p492432 Windows or Mac? Windows 10. I don't really know if it's on my end or their end. As far as I know, I haven't changed anything about ...

Re: Grain Discussion Thread
:) Yeah! This! Me too! That’s how I learned how cv works :D It made me realize it was a sort of invisible automation system. The back of malstrom is where I was first really inspired to try wiring. It would be awesome if they made those adjustments to Europa and grain so that way new users can hope...

So we can pay monthly fees to never actually own a product that we probably already payed for. Instead of how it is now, where we've payed for products that we can never actually own.... I have also noticed that the random often changes an osc semi to +2 or -2 which ends up very dissonant. I think it would be more effective at the 7 interval and maybe 5.

Re: Rostnomo is in the Shop! [Free]
Nice synth. Open a Combinator. Insert a 6:1 mixer. Drag in a Rostnomo. Go through a bunch of random sounds. And/or manually scroll through each of the 27 wave windows. When you find one you love, drag another Rostnomo into the Combinator. Go through a bunch of random sounds in the second one. Repea...

Re: Choosing a synth...
If I asked this question to myself when I first started creating sounds beyond preset browsing, it's simple. Thor's mod matrix. Once you really master it, you've got the true jump off point for all other synthesis. Outside of just reason. The way it's setup. What you can do with audio in, CV, routin...

Re: Nostromo 2
I haven't got to try out the update yet, but it looks really good. My only critique would be the compressor. I'd like to see a visual representation of the gain reduction. Especially since we can use it as a modulation source.
I'm hyped either way.

Re: How much are you willing to spend on a RE?
I'm willing to pay what I think it's worth. Based on multiple factors. Is it a new Synth? Fx? Utilities? Will I get a lot of use out of it? Is it a novelty item? How broad or narrow is it's application in my music? Is there a learning curve (which is an advantage in a lot of cases)? Is it a paid upd...

Ever since I poured a beer on my laptop, I've been producing with sticks and stones. Although they could use some compression at times, the workflow is so much better. I look forward to down grading again.

Re: Albino 3
It was still installed on my computer from about 7 years ago. It's still a special synth. Since it's so CPU efficient for me, I'm using it with distributor to utilize the million presets available online. Like 4-8 randomly selected tweaked presets can turn any polyphonic melody into something really...

Has anyone tried the free Grace Sampler? https://www.onesmallclue.com/plugin/grace/
It crashes immediately upon launch, and requires a reason restart for me.

That's a pretty creative RE. I can envision a thousand ways it could be useful. Too bad there's no intro price though. I'll have to give a spin later tonight.

There's a LOT of empty space, with the thread titles in big boxes, forced onto a four line minimum height, so less is visible onscreen, regardless of the ads sidebar. I'm on a 2560x1600 monitor, and even with a full screen Firefox, I can see still just 9 thread titles, rather than nearly all of the...

Re: New RE from Studio Corbach
I've gotten to the point where I don't even need/use fx in synths at all. Reason's modularity (is that a word?) is more powerful when I use all my individual fx re's. They are usually higher quality than anything I would find in a synth fx chain.

I apologize for bumping this thread. I had Albino installed on my computer from years ago. I gotta say. Its such an old vst that there's already a million presets online and its sooo cpu efficient. Re: Best Sidechain RE?
That's how Daniel Kandi (famous Danish uplifting trance producer) always did it. This method worked well with the 14:2 mixers and gives you a lot of control over the volume shape. thats how i use to do it in my old DAW :D Lol jokes aside, I like to use CV as my approach to sidechain. Send the Ghost...
