Re: Any ideas or requests for a new RE?
+1 to the euroports particularly rampage.... what I'd really like is a Turing machine re. I'd thought I could do the same kinds of thing with psq1684 but..... also a Quant for translating lfos into notes would be amaz6.

Re: So what have you bought from this May Madness Sale?
I mainly got obscure stuff. Snakebite: very noisy and has strange volume issues - like it's at least three times louder than anything else even with the master volume at nearly nik. Also a weird interface although I'm yet to rtfm. Still will be good for making nasty edm the day that comes. Blamsoft ...

[ambient] could you live with another person's memories? yes
Hi - four ambient tracks I recorded over a couple of days recently.
done with reason 11.whatever it's up to, and using PSQ 1684 quite a bit. Mastered in T Racks.

Re: RIP Florian Schneider
When I was a kid in the late 70s there was no advertising on children's after school tv so the tv station would play videos instead between programmes to make up the short fall for shows from overseas. The Robots and Oxygene IV played all the time. And well, here we are. Was surprised how sad I was ...

Re: [ambient] Threnody
Thanks for your kind words. It only took a couple of days to record but it was a surprisingly emotional process, much more so than usual for me - particularly because I'd kinda intended it to just be pleasant-enough-but-not-outstanding wallpaper music. Instruments: Most of the short pluck sounds wer...

Four ambient tracks I've made during the month long cononalockdown in my city.

cv on/off switch device, is there one....
I'm trying to see if there's a RE which acts as an interrupter or a mute switch for CV signals, specifically for note and gate information. What I mean is, you put it in the middle of the chain between a sequencer device (in this case a PSQ1684 which is an amazing and beautiful machine) and the inst...

Re: Curious About How You Guys Mix, What Order/Workflow??
wasn't there another thread about this just recently? I've also got a weird method... so: First off, I do a rough mix progressively during the recording. This is largely because I tend to write as I go rather than having a pre-arranged idea in my head of how the piece will sound. I do some surgical ...

For Christmas I would like
For Christmas may I please have a device which is a combinator with 16 rotaries and 16 buttons, merged with Delta. Also a different American president if that's not asking too much.

audio file lag when recording guitar
Hi there So I'm having an issue when I recording guitar. When I'm actually recording the notes are on the beat (okay, as well as I can with my admittedly limited guitar skills) but once I'm finished there's a noticeable lag in the audio file - the notes are like about 1/4 of a second behind where th...

Six longform drone tracks I made with R 2.5 a few years ago.

(techno) (politics) Greta Thunerg addresses the UN
More political than the music than I normally make, and hopefully my backing does Ms Thunberg's speech justice. Because basically it's the Gettysburg Address of the 21st century. https://rorystorm.bandcamp.com/album/greta-thunberg-addresses-the-un And if this is too scary/full on for you, some oldsc...

Re: Scenic!!!
I've spent a coupla daysplaying with it so here's my two cents' worth, if that's at all interesting. Cons (actually mostly small potatoes). 1. I want to RTFM, so why can't I? I've read plenty of batch about this and it's justified. It's bizarre to front up a new device but have no instructions for i...

Reason crashing
I'm having an ongoing issue with the latest iteration of Reason crashing - the sound glitches for 3 or 4 seconds and then I get a mirror image of the rack on my monitor and it turns green. Can't do anything except switch my laptop off and start again.... only happens with Reason, not any other progr...

Re: What features are REALLY necessary for Reason 11
Add my support for curves for automation, ghost clips, multiple markers with labels, the ability to manually type in parameter values, and rack view zooming. Also..... Back in the day I used to use Cubase, and it has a great thing where it displays the cursor's exact coordinates in the piano scroll ...

Re: Delta MIDI Computer (Introductory Sale!)
I agree with everyone else, this is amazing work. I have one suggestion. How possible would it be to label individual nodes? When I'm using more than a handful of iterations of the same kind of node I'm finding it hard to keep track of which one does what - eg, where I have eight transpose note nod...

Re: Delta MIDI Computer (Introductory Sale!)
Maybe unrelated but here goes - I had reason crash a couple of times yesterday which basically never happens. Couldn't close it from task manager even. At the same time I had windows updates pending. I recall seeing the words 'unknown exception error' but I forget now at which point. I wasn't runni...
