No, the Reason Rack plugin is VST3 format for use in other DAWs. Reason itself still only hosts VST2.

The stand out for me is the improved Waves compatibility. It was rare for all of the Waves shells to be scanned without an error. Hopefully that is sorted now.

Unless they have changed the habits of a lifetime Reason 12 is at least 12 to 18 months away. It might even be 2022 before we see it.

I've got it trialled but I'm struggling to get anything very musical out of it. I don't think I'll be buying it - I'll stick with the existing players. There must be some kind of phrase you hear in the pattern which sounds somewhat musical, no? Perhaps not the whole pattern, but a sequence of notes...

Upgrading to 11 is the same price as upgrading to 10 was. And right now the upgrade is on offer. Go for it!

Hyper-V runs Linux and MacOS really well if you give it enough memory and proc cores..

If you upgraded to 11 Suite the snapshots are stored in a different place. You can manually move the files across with file explorer or you can make all the snap shots again

Why would they bother doing a special RE version when all Reason users can now use the VST version?
Even Reason is a VST now. The future prospects for the RE format are not looking good.
