Yeah man I remember actually having to load a protracker/octamed type program on the Amiga back in the day. I'll gladly take a long startup time let me tell you.
(no knock on the Amiga or protracker, shit was amazing back in the day)

Re: [TECH HOUSE] 9 SILVER BULLETS
Enjoyed this track, it seems a more subtle and laid-back affair than some of your other tracks (which sometimes get pretty busy/in your face). I like the subtlety. The arrangement stays interesting throughout though. Well done, this is probably one of my favourite tracks I've heard by you.

Re: Loading up unofficial remixes on Youtube
I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've used a ton of uncleared samples in music I put up on soundcloud and youtube, nobody gives a peep. Perhaps if one were to go viral I might get a angry email, but really who cares. As long as I've know electronic music, it's been made by cutting up other people...

I started listening to this and blacked out, and when I came to my senses again I was in a field somewhere naked, strangling a goat

I don't think this is the best place to try to auction your reason license, almost everyone here already owns it.

Re: Listen to this...
Hmmm I gave this a listen expecting some kind of musical revelation but really I don't hear what's special about it. It's nice and pleasant to listen to but certainly not something I would categorize as memorable or catchy.

Hey man, hope everything's going OK. I really enjoyed this track. Drum programming is great and I also really like the bendy synth leads you used. It's a pity the shuffled bit at the end isn't a bit longer!

It looks nice, good to see Dr. Rex finally getting promoted. I feel like it should now be called "Professor Mimic", not just "Mimic" though!

Re: Fritz
I have to add I've also started using Fritz as a kind of chorusing/doubling send effect which works pretty nicely in this track that's almost finished it's used pretty extensively, but it's (obviously) hard to isolate being a send FX https://soundcloud.com/user-502627405/clap-your-hand-come-on-4/s-F...

Here's a thing I did a while ago with some of TeflonTomb's sound. The pre-fritz sound was more of a drone, but after fritz it's more like these random sporadic bursts of sound

Re: Spectra is now free
probably a bit late for a bug report but it seems to me the output of the Generator 1's Ring function bypasses the filter? or maybe this is by design and I don't understand the signal routing correctly

Re: Quixotic Sound Design Birthday Sale
Happy Birthday and thank you for this generous offer. Just bought Expandemonium, now I've got all of your great refills. Happy birthday and thank you! I was on the fence for acquiring your refill for Oberon ( I´m thinking it’s a ‘different ‘ synth, and interesting ) but now I have no excuse. And wi...

Quixotic Sound Design Birthday Sale
Hey Everyone, It's my birthday today (23-7), and fortuitously it's also the birthday of HIM Haile Selassie I, so to honor the memory of Jah Rastafari himself and increase the overall sense of irieness on this day I decided to cut all prices of QSD refills in half over the weekend on Gumroad. https:/...

Re: What are the best Refills you own?
For me it's Quixotic Sound Design. Lots of inspiring sounds with character. Muchas gracias señor for the plug! Those oft mentioned, now free Tom Pritchard refills were my inspiration for trying some sound design, so certainly don't sleep on those. I personally also like the Chaos FX bundles, some e...

Re: Too much patches, how do you handle them?
Time consuming. I write down the name of anything that sounds 'analouge' and try memorize where it is in the factory soundbank! I dislike the new modern 'big' digital sound. Gives me headaches. Used to think it was just me but then i read about the loudness wars and its fairly common. I'm not an en...

Re: Too much patches, how do you handle them?
This isn't really that big of a problem... step 1 Delete all refills that are not Quixotic Sound Design refills step 2 ? step 3 Profit! No but really this was why I was (and am still) so baffled by RS's focus on weekly sound packs. There are now already over 200 I think, all of them packs of 10 or s...

Re: Spectra is now free
It's a generous gesture to make this free. I tried the synth when it was released but it was kind of overshadowed by others synths at the time. The sound quality is definitely there though and it has several unique features. I hope it will get some more love, I'll definitely give it a spin sometime ...

Re: [melodic hard techno] Rising Night Wave - When You Are Gone (WIP-rough preview)
I enjoyed this, there is enough variation and switches to keep things interesting and the style is pretty unique too. Mix-wise the bass sound is very 'boomy'/resonant on my speakers. I would turn it down a bit in comparison to the kick.
