I tried to Trial it as well...it downloaded but doesn't show up in Reason. It also doesn't show as an active trial on my account Rack Extension page. It is weird.

Pro Tools has been loosing ground as the industry standard for a while. The customer support just went to shit after Avid bought Digidesign. A lot of peeps have left to go to Cubase and Logic.

What version of Mac OS are you running? I had some some issues when I updated my laptop to Sierra and ended up going back to El Capitan.

What was said before. Just bounce them out as audio. I would ask your friend if he prefers wav files or aiff files. Also make sure to let him know the bpm and make sure the tracks are labeled clearly before bouncing (Reason will named them bounced stems based on your naming in Reason.

I was very interested in Korg Gadget for MAC, since I use it on iPad a lot. At $199 I'll stick to the iPad app, though.

Are there any particular waves or sound tools plugins you're looking to find equivalents to? Most of the waves SSL stuff if handled nicely by the Reason mixer (which is modeled after an SSL console do has all the components)

Zero for sure. The thing is a powerhouse for sound design. Its the closest thing FL Studio's Sytrus. It can be as simple or complex as you want it to be.

Thanks for the responses. Its sounds like the GQ-7 is more what I'm looking for at the moment. I think I may put the MP5 on the "future" list though...it sounds like a good tool to have.

You might want to watch some demo vids to help you decide, but, personally, I'd go for the GQ-7. With the GQ-7 you can identify rogue frequencies and notch them out or boost selectively, something you can't do as readily with the MP5. However, the MP5 is really good at brightening up or toning down...
