Yeh that was me, I said something rude to the Trollfarm McIncelbot that was the OP, and got modded. Fair but I don't regret it.

Re: What have you been listening to?

Crude's album Inner City Guitar Perspectives. Crude is just this one guy from Dunedin and he really is a genius... his music's quite challenging but really interesting, primarily garage rock but also bits of free jazz, improvised noise, musique concrete, synth blarps.... and quite strange but also w...

Re: Objekt has arrived!

New YouTube video featuring Objekt. https://youtu.be/hw9bWnDei-k It was cool to see Ben feature Objekt, and he seems to feel pretty warm about it. That said, I was a little shocked when he (at first) claimed it wasn't available as a VST3 inside of any DAW. I was like... Ben... what rock have you be...

And then this, a fantastic compilation of artists from my old home town of Dunedin in New Zealand. I'm quite honored to be on it.

Re: What did you just buy yourself?

So as well as my new blue marvin, yesterday I blew my savings and bought the Behringer Model 55 clone. Its pretty. But I can't do anything with it because I'll have to buy a bunch of long cables and they are surprisingly expensive.... so right now its a big paperweight with lots of holes in it. It h...

Re: Thor automation

Thats if you do it manually on your keyboard controller from the beginning. If you right click on the pitch wheel and click Edit Automation it'll create a separate automation lane. Took me a while to figure out! Oh and you can also choose it from the drop down menu in the sequencer along with the mo...

Re: What did you just buy yourself?

Bought a Berhringer Blue Marvin Arp 2600 clone - it was on sale - plus a bunch of patch leads which are surprisingly expensive. It's my first piece of hardware. Super cool although somewhat impenetrable working out what some of the bits do, the manual's a bit lackluster. I'm a big fan of Behringer'...

Re: RIP Sinead O'Connor

True. But it's celebrities like Sinead that had an effect on a lot of us "older" people in our youth. I count myself fortunate to have seen her play live (it was for her tour in support of the I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got album). She knocked it out of the park, as she usually did when she playe...

Re: RIP Sinead O'Connor

Yeah, so sad. Its pretty clear what's happened and its really tragic, irrespective of whether you're a fan of her music or not. Its weird how you read all these news stories about how fucked the world is atm but it only really comes into focus when a celebrity goes.

Re: Reason playing in mono and I can't see why

So I've just a new computer, and Reason is playing on mono if I use the internal soundcard (DX Primary Sound Driver or DX Speakers Realtek Audio). It's driving me nuts - two active output channels, it's stereo with everything else like Chrome etc - what am I missing? You mentioned that you're exper...

Re: What have you been listening to?

just listened to the new PJ Harvey album. The songs mostly don't have much of a melody and seems to start in the middle and finish before they're supposed to, her singing is, kindly, out of tune, a lot, you can't hear most of the lyrics and what you can hear is either about farm animals or quotes fr...

Re: KRAFTWERK

Also, I think on the original 7" and 12" there is an edited version by Francois Kevorkian who is a really good DJ/producer and did a couple of excellent House EP's in the 90's - Francois K - Hypnodelic - Wave Rec Yeah, I think Kerkovian remixed a couple of their tracks? I'm pretty sure there's a re...

Re: What have you been listening to?

went and got my hair cut today. Here's a life tip, if you have a beard, go to Middle Eastern barber. Seriously, the guy I saw today is the product of several millennia of beard trimming technique. I look fg great. When my ancestors were living in caves and getting all excited about the fact they put...
