Re: Keep search term in browser search box.
You posted here before my time, but welcome back! The search box clearing itself when switching categories is probably on top of my list of the things most annoying in Reason. *Bump* I often find myself entering a search term, *then* realising that I'm in instruments not effects (or visa versa). Wh...

Re: Should RS bring back Reason Lite?
If they do bring something back like this it really should be compatible somehow with the full version - eg: a while back I was trying to get my friend in on using Reason so we could collab better. So they got a version of Reason 11 Lite but I was frustrated to find there was no way I could save a ...

Re: Should RS bring back Reason Lite?
My brother wants to make a little music. He's looking for something free so he can dabble. We've occasionally worked together on my copy of Reason. He's got such a good sense of rhythm and musicality that I could immediately imagine him making some sketches and me working on them to make a full trac...

Re: Objekt has arrived!
Objekt is almost unbelievably good. I was expecting it to have some excellent sounds. I wasn't ready for how easy it is to change them, or how intuitive it is to do so. I also wasn't expecting how good it appears to be at making 'regular' sounds. The Dance Organ patch, out of the box, sounds so simi...

I'm trying the beta and I have a bug to file. The link on the email isn't working for me. Please can someone shoot over a link to the bug-reporting page?

I figured it out.
I nearly deleted my post, but just in case anyone else stumbles on this issue, it's in MacOS system preferences, general, and set "prefer tabs when opening documents" to never.

Re: Window Tabs Questions
I'm having exactly the op's experience. I'm on a laptop, so only one screen. When I open a VST, Reason opens it in a new tab, sized according to the UI of that VST. When I close the VST, the main Reason window stays within this new, much smaller window size so I have to maximise it again, every time...

Re: Are you taking advantage of blocks?
I use blocks for a different purpose than intended. I don't use the full feature-set, but I do find this use invaluable to my everyday work. I set up blank blocks, named and coloured for different parts of the track. This provides two benefits: * The blocks give their colour to the background of all...

Re: Reason 12.5.0 Released (VST3)
Fantastic work on VST3 - very exciting. I note others have commented on the fact that we now have VST2 and VST3 plugins showing in the list, which makes the list massive and harder to use. I was interested to read that at least one other VST host (not sure if it's a DAW or not!) has a button to 'upg...

Yes. Still no luck getting an invite though, even though I was on the list already.

Re: SYnc rackextentions...
I noticed this too. OLD WAY: Click sync all - everything updates automatically. NEW WAY: Crawl through each page of Rach Extensions one by one, visually checking every single RE to see if there is an update. This must be an error or an oversight - it now takes 5-10 minutes to do something that used ...

Re: How to keep synth arps in time when triggering via midi
What I'm imagining is, you play the new chord sometime during the bar before you want the change to happen, and Select CV switches to that new chord when it snaps on the next bar. This is exactly the kind of thing I have in mind - the same as how Dr rex does it when you change loops in between bars.

Re: VST3 only - the list of major plugins is growing
Funny profile picture. Yes, I agree totally, also noticed a few VST3 plugins (like Novum) which do not have VST2 support. Probably because it was released pretty recently so developers saw no point in tryin to include VST2 knowing that it is dying breed. But trust me. Reason Studios are working on ...

Re: Using the latest CodeMeter software on macOS with Ignition Key
Hi Pepin, Thanks for the excellent steps to do this, worked a treat on my iMac Pro running macOS Monterey and has given the ignition key new life. How to keep synth arps in time when triggering via midi
There's a bit of latency on a track I'm working on. I'm making an arp line using a step sequencer in a vst synth - triggered by midi keyboard. Is there a way I can 'quantize' the input so the sequence is right on the beat? Perhaps some kind of Player? Once the part is down I can quantize in the sequ...

Re: Using the latest CodeMeter software on macOS with Ignition Key
Yes: I didn't do anything at all. It was a brand new machine and reason - of course - was the first thing I installed, so maybe that helped. I just went to the webpage and Reason Studios found the stick. (I did find this curious and I wasn't expecting it to work, but that's the way it turned out!) ...

VST3 only - the list of major plugins is growing
There are an increasing number of really significant plugins that are VST3 only, and it's therefore not possible to use them in Reason until they support it. These include: *All new Izotope plugins, including Neutron 4 and the latest Ozone. *Kontakt! Not being able to use Kontakt in Reason is a big ...

I don't remember having to do anything specific - it appeared to just work as plug and play. I was surprised and pleased. Re: Shuffle button for Dr Octo Rex
I think using loop to track and then assigning Regroove mixer to the corresponding sequencer track does work to get the beat to shuffle. It certainly does, and that route is the end goal for me every time. A shuffle button would allow much better previewing of how different loops fit into the groov...

Re: Shuffle button for Dr Octo Rex
Bump to myself. Not through vanity, just because I came on hear to see if anyone had requested this seemingly-easy-to-impliment feature, and found out that I did so myself a couple of years back.
It would be as valuable now as it would have been then.

Re: Gotta love Reason's back compat.
I'm not sure why some think this really stands out. I can still load old projects in Bandlab that were made in Sonar 2 and Gigastudio. It stands out to me (as the op) because yes, I can load an old project in Logic, but I can be fairly sure that it will have VSTs which are outdated (e.g. 32 bit) an...
