Re: Announcing Reason 13
Let's make it a wager. If Reason 13 does have features not yet announced (even if it's a point update) you are obliged to upgrade. There will be some new rack features for sure (copy Europas engines, new combinator knobs, copy slots in mimic....) I am talking here about essential DAW features nearl...

... You completely missed my point so I'll make it as succinct as possible. You have valid concerns and needs. I also have valid concerns and needs. Every single user has valid concerns and needs. Our concerns and needs, however, may differ. And because there is a finite amount of time available to...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
I agree with iTrensharo, the RS "strategy" is driving folks towards other DAWs. I for one have started using Logic instead of Reason and have started buying VSTs rather than REs. I love Reason and have been using it since V4, and I'd love to see RS survive. RS are quite innovative when it comes to ...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
I understand what you're saying. That's fine, I guess. I'm still not buying it. Every DAW has to worry about ergonomics and accessibility, feature discoverability, etc. That is a completely different from continuing to not implement important features that need to be there. I'd rather it be "unintu...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
The whole point is that if they implement FLAC support, it has to be working on every (currently) supported Windows version. Doing that based on native OS-support is still a no-go, as there are obviously many users not running the latest and greatest Windows version. Check here: https://docs.propel...

Re: Some Reason (RRP) love !
It's funny. RRP feels like the original Reason (back when things were "simpler"). RRP was a massive joy to use and 100x better than the modulation options available in Guitar Rig. Love seeing how people incorporate Reason into their workflow. They always appreciate the things we see as commonplace b...

Re: What did you just buy yourself?
Okay, so I've made a lot of purchases in the last few months, and I'm embarrassed to say what I did afterwards. First I got a Mac Mini a few months ago (roughly). I got it because I borked my portable desktop with some bad decisions. Besides, it had WiFi issues. I got a nice gaming desk for said Mac...

Re: Announcing Reason 13
It could be a possibility the the new FX is using some new CPU instructions that older x86 CPUs don't support (like AVX512 or SSE4.2). Highly unlikely. Besides, Reason Studios can easily supply older CPUs with a different binary, or select the AVX512 or SSE4.2 version at runtime. No RE will ever be...

... And, yeah, shame Reason still doesn't support VST MIDI out. Maybe they'll fix that during the R13 cycle. Or maybe not. :| My guess is, that they don't want to threaten the sales of their player devices. So they made VST MIDI out impossible. Players serve a particular need. Just like REs. Unless...

Bitwig is cool. I just haven't felt the need for it.
I can see how I could make use of it for sound design, and Grid is much more intuitive than Reaktor, it's just always been stuck in my 'inbox'.
But it's 50% off right now, ...

Has anyone seen system requirements for 13? I don't know why Matthias was being precious about them. I'm guessing this doesn't bode well for my 10.13 Mac Pro even though it's still got plenty of juice for what I do. It's safe to assume they'll be the same until an announcement states otherwise. It'...

Microsoft also decides how long you can use hardware -- Windows 11 dropped support for several older machines lacking more modern features. This is no different. It's objectively different. M series is a completely different architecture . It broke compatibility. All hell broke loose with its relea...

You could use LoopBE and use a software MIDI filter.huggermugger wrote: ↑09 May 2024Just filter out the pitch bend info...Oh wait, it's Reason you're talking about. They're working on Reason's MIDI integration, but since MIDI is so new, it might take a while. R17 maybe?

In the meantime, assign the janky knob/dial/fader to something else so that it's not captured by the instrument you're playing/recording with.

Re: Life after Rewire
IIRC Reaper can run as a ReWire client. It's a bit of a stretch, but you could export your Reason tracks to MIDI, put them in a Reaper file, and then make an RRP patch for each instrument (assuming you have complex tempo changes and whatnot). If you can easily match the tempo and its changes in Reas...

Some of us probably shouldn't be getting to excited because we don't even know what the minimum requirements are to even update to Reason 13 are going to be. I'm still running 10.15.7 Catalina on a 2012 Macbook Pro which I don't intend on upgrading anytime soon. So just think about that before some...

Oh, no, it's this thing Tony Robbins says a lot.
It's "another level", but Tony likes to say things are "on a whole 'nother level".

You've got to embrace the slow version.
It's hard at first, I know.
But trust me, when you get with it you experience this song on a whole 'nother level.
'nother ... ... level!!!

Is it me or does this sound like the "real" version of the song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pv6Rt2x6kPg We've just been distracted by the disco instrumental and fast tempo. No. We've been fooled. This is the real version of the song. ... Got me wondering, ... what other songs need a reinterpret...

Re: Arturia Announcement Today April 9 6pm CEST/12 noon EST
I really thought RS would have done this with elk like they were showing off a few years ago. Native Instruments should’ve done this by now as well. As simple as this keyboard is, it’s genius! The stage intended keyboard market is pretty boring compared to what software can do and this is a step in...
