anyone need a pair of krk rokit 5 G2 monitors?
i moved and when i set up my studio again, one of my monitors would play everything back at -30db. anyways, after talking to krk support, the only real option is to replace the amp/circuitboard. its 78 bucks. i disassembled the faulty monitor and the speakers both work fine, its the amp that’s wonky...

Re: Suggestions needed on controllers that are very Reason-compatible
personaly i saved up for and bought a nektar panorama, it was developed specifically for reason and works incredibly well and automatically routes most re’s in a way that makes sense plus the keys are great for a non-weighted variety. but i’m sure once you get the hang of your contoller, it shouldnt...

i’m pretty sure anything that can be right clicked and edited can be set in the combinator, the only parameters i have been unable to find in the combi routing menu have been rando things but none come to mind offhand.

Re: cv eq gain device
lol, yeah i have so many different VST eq's like apogee, waves, IK, tokyo dawn, some with dynamic featured built-in, but i was trying to make a file compatible with reason 6 and had to do some weird routing to mimic some more modern dynamic plugins. plus, 100 bucks for that eq is kind of crazy Yeah...

Re: cv eq gain device
Uhh...native devices... :-D I am not sure, but the BV512 _should_ do that. Did you set it to EQ mode? i am not really sure... i set it to eq and couldnt quite figure out exactly how cv functioned... and another weird thing is that unless the bv512 is in 512 mode, it sounds very comb filtery, so in ...

Re: The future of the allihoopa button
yes, replace it with an mp3 option would be a godsend (or flac) i essentially use alihoopa as a way to share works in progress anyways, so to me the button is a "share with collaborator" button regardless of the format, and mp3 is fairly ubiquitous and teh small file size makes it easy to send with ...

cv eq gain device
before i go through every device does anyone know off the top of their head which re native eq or device with integrated eq has a cv input for gain? the mclass has no cv inputs (i am not trying to use the combinator routing function) and the peq-2 has cv input but that routes to freq, not gain. the ...

Re: chord analyser from wav
the full version of melodyne lets you see and edit individual notes in a chord, but its also like 500 bucks. i use a vst by MeldaProductions called “MAnalyzer”. it shows you each harmonic in a graph as well as the corresponding note, so you can see what the chord is pretty easily most of the time. t...

just push the “z” button anytime you want to automatically fit the selected clip on screen. doing 5is on a wav file thats 5 mins long will zoom to 5 mins.

what i do whenever i need microtonal music, and i dont know that this is the beat way to do it, but i just duplicate my instrument, and adjust the pitch (cent) knob in the copy, then in the sequencer draw in the octave notes in the 1st instrument’s lane, and draw in the between-notes in the duplicat...

Re: Small time stretch on vocal warps, leaves artifacts
what guitfnky said. time streching vocals is an incredibly complex process, the software has to basically shorten or widen the 1st harmonic and then process the formants so as to keep them sounding like you and not a chipmunk. the algorithm for this is tailored to how the human voice is recorded, so...

Re: Allihoopa is closing shop!!!
I have yet to try Allihoopa. Is it worth it to try before they shutdown? No. It's being EOL'd by the middle of January. No point bothering now! Did Allihoopa ever get any sort of multi-track support? The fact that it was a bounced stereo mix from Reason kept me from using it for any sort of colab w...

Re: Allihoopa is closing down :(
I really liked this site since I could quickly send my in-progress Reason tracks as unlisted to Allihoopa and listen to them offline. It sure beat the crap out of exporting a WAV/AIF and then either converting to MP3 and uploading to my smartphone, or uploading to Soundcloud, etc. What a shame to s...

Re: Audio Bounce Question
i forget off the top of my head, but there are different bounces.
one of them will create an audio track from your midi and automatically stop it once the tail has died.
it's in the reason manual, i had a head scratching moment like this last year.

Re: velocity control in Reason 4
You will have to make sure the velocity actually controls a part (eg. volume) of your patch. The manual of the device in question will tell you more on this. exactly this. i still have my R4 discs and manuals coincidentally, but the process is the same. every device has a knob on it that says "velo...

Re: Listening to drum track while recording guitar
hard to tell without seeing your settings, but some quick checks would be: 1) maybe you have the drum track record-enabled (the red circle button in the sequencer on the left). 2) maybe you have the drum track routed into the guitar track? check the cables in the rear of the rack (hit tab on the rac...

Re: DSP meter SHOOTS up under certain conditions
please re-read the issue, this has nothing to do with cpu limit. I know, but if you had it set to "no limit" it would just be a brief spike that'd likely go away, whereas with the limit on it's a huge annoyance. I'm not saying it solves the issue :) "no limit" just leaves it at overload instead of ...

Re: DSP meter SHOOTS up under certain conditions
to reitterate, this happens in an empty rack loading jsut one instance of neutrino. which should be less than 1% dsp. does that do it for you? Oh, it's no where near that bad for me. iZotope's plug-ins definitely take a non-zero amount of CPU time to idle, but not continually climbing. iZotope has ...

Re: DSP meter SHOOTS up under certain conditions
ok, to everyone focused on the dsp aspect of this. this issue has nothing to do with actual dsp usage, please understand that. the neutrino vst normally uses .01%dsp or something ridiculously small like that. but after upgrading to mojave it has maxed out the dsp meter even being the ONLY rack instr...
